I simply wish these guys would post pictures in which they looked straight into the camera and smiled.  That's what I want to see when the door opens!

I've had a number of enjoyable three-ways.  These guys are even in my neighborhood, HOWEVER, both sets list PNP as something they are into.  The first two even repeat their PNP interest in their written ad.  NO THANKS!!!!!

    Dear Kensington Homo,
I am not the closeted old queen you might suspect.  Rather:
-- provider hiring is a side of my life I choose to keep private, and the reasons for that are private too.
-- I am concerned that an electronic transfer might somehow be used--in ways I cannot either know or imagine--to defraud me.  There are many more unscrupulous providers than there are hotels or restaurants. And what recourse will I have?
As to risks.  There are plenty on both sides. My guess is that there may even be as many no show providers as there are clients.  The client does, however, get to keep the money.
    yours,
    Old John
PS:  Most of my hiring is in continental Europe, but in my native US there are police stings targeting clients.

No. Shopping includes asking the salesman about the $300 item: how does it work?  what does it do? And considering: do I like the way it functions? is it really what I am looking for?  Sometimes the answer is "not for me" or "not today" or "maybe later."  That's all part of the territory.
I shop.  I ask questions, but I try to keep track of the responses and to whom I have spoken.  I think I have a good system, but can slip up, esp. with changing profiles.
However, you can be annoyed if the same customer comes back again and again over a period of time and asks the same questions.  But there are customers like that in every business.
Shopping is not running into the store, grabbing the first thing you find, and paying, but some providers seem to think that's how it works.

Both Kensingtonhomo and nycman have a point.  BUT even if I were willing to put down a $25 deposit, how do I get it to the provider? The business is full of untrustworthy types, and plenty clients are deceived and robbed (see these pages passim). Providers are not out of the same bag as my doctor. I am supposed to send it electronically?  Or give the guy a credit card number like I do restaurants and hotels?  No way.
Please don't go and list 87 ways to make a "safe and anonymous" electronic transfer.  I just won't do it. Cause I don't believe it's safe and anonymous.
There are lots of risks in this business.  The client shoulders many.  Providers can shoulder others.

I was trying to think through my own list of service providers on this one…..
    Doctor…no.
    Dentist….no.
    Lawyer…no.
    Trainer….no.
    Auto-mechanic….no.
    Landscaper…..no.
    Plumber….no.
    Electrician….no.
    Driver…no.
    Waiter….no.
    Massage therapist….no.
    Manicurist…no
Honestly, the only "yes" I did come up with was occasionally for a caterer, but they have significant expenses for food and drink prior to the event and I understand wanting a deposit in those scenarios.
And no….an enema is not a "significant expense"….it’s just a warm, wet, pain in the ass.

I just came back to the US from Germany.
-- there were at least 5 places where I could have a free Antigen test within a 5 minute walk from where I was staying in Berlin.
-- there was another next to check-in at the airport.
-- the 24-hour in advance is 24 hours in advance of the start of your journey.

You have me pegged.  Even though I've hired many in the past, I always hesitate when booking time with someone new.

Now, I try not to contact anyone until I have a date and time in mind, but some escorts assume I'm a time waster because I ask a couple of questions.  In reality, I'm just turned off by one word answers, really long pauses in communication and abrupt communication.

When a guy uses a sentence and acts even a little interested, I typically will follow through and close the deal.

Some time wasters wouldn't be time wasters with a little bit of thought from the escort.

I’m a masseur too, there’s always flakes and I agree escorts probably get more aggravation. If you assume they’re all just trying to annoy you then yes it will be incredibly dispiriting but I know that a good proportion of the flakes are just genuine guys who are totally scared at the prospect of hiring a guy for a sexual encounter. They might be closeted and anxious about discretion, they might be inexperienced and struggling with their sexuality. They’ll make contact and then get too scared to follow through, or they’ll talk about booking to build up their confidence.

For this reason I try to be understanding. Working in sex work can make you blasé about these things so it’s always important to consider that clients don’t come at it from the same perspective as me. Yes some are just wasters and will sap your energy but I can spot those. Most will be genuine guys who are hiring for the first time, so I give them the benefit of the doubt. When they do pluck up the courage to see me it’s always a pleasure to help them explore. I get a lot of satisfaction from those clients.

Tipping has gotten out of hand in America. You never tip the owner of the business. An escort operating on his own is the owner of the business. Don't tip. Reward him by hiring again for a longer period, pay for upgraded advertising, write good reviews, tell your friends, but DON'T TIP. Period.

PS: if the escort is sent by an agency, tipping is appropriate.

PPS: there have been other threads on this.
