Sensitive topic - race and rates
SouthOfTheBorder replied to + DrownedBoy's topic in Questions About Hiring
I don’t think it’s a must anything but how does anyone know what they like if not for the experience ? I’ve been with several women - not for me in general, but I wouldn’t rule it out completely. As for ethnicities - I don’t know why I would limit myself by any self-imposed “preferences” when it’s really about individual chemistry ? Sure there are general things I like, but no deal breakers by race because that would be counterproductive. I’ve said I don’t care for Northern/Central Europeans but that just means I like someone very different than me. when I keep an open mind about all things - I find options I didn’t know were available & wants/desires I didn’t know I had. Makes life way more interesting -

interesting - why compartmentalization by race ? not judging, just curious haven’t give this topic much thought previously, my hires & love interests are exactly the same -

interesting discussion & I’ve never considered the question. my preference in men is anything but Northern/Central European. so that leaves a broad range of possibilities. When hiring - there is no thought about skin color and corresponding rates. I hire among what I see available at a given time & at a given rate. I don’t negotiate down from a providers quote because I know what has to happen before they see me - it’s compensating for way more than 1 hour when everything is factored in. I find it easier to justify a higher rate when the person is very well known either in provider world or OF - a proven track record with much less risk. I obviously see & acknowledge color, but it has nothing to do with rate I will pay. This could be very different in smaller cities or areas where prejudice & discrimination are more present. -
yes - there are people using aliases it’s not something to be overly alarmed about - but you should be aware. it’s extremely common in this kind of anonymous forum. and there’s nothing that can be done about it I’ve heard stories about personal or other identifying information incidentally disclosed in PMs and then that person gets doxxd ,stalked or other by some with too much time. I think it almost always happens via PMs, so that’s just a warning to those who don’t know.

the difference is intent I didn’t intend to trigger anyone by that observation. and it wasn’t posted as bait either. I wouldn’t make that same observation about another country - just my own. back to topic - it wasn’t an attempt to be divisive

community is word that seems to have evolved in last several years. it has always meant subsets of people with shared interests. in contemporary use, it seems to imply that the group has positive common goals/interests although it doesn’t mean 100% alignment. this group has some members that get off on divisive topics which is usually politics or adjacent subject matter. So, they’re seeking to disrupt & cause friction - not exactly community. and community probably doesn’t include members who use aliases to appear as several different people. given this is an anonymous forum & the specific subject matter - it shouldn’t be any surprise there are dozens of users with personal agendas that have nothing to do with positive common shared interests. anonymous online forum - yes community - no

silence is golden, and speaks volumes the oxygen in this particular room is evidently quite valuable - obviously the perp couldn’t function if banned here too -

every single point made is negated by the simple fact that he thinks nobody gets the aliases, meanwhile anyone paying attention does understand the aliases, yet he continues down that path using multiple aliases online is hardly new & expected to a degree - the odd thing here is that it’s soooooooo obvious -

false online reviews are terrible - yet we know the games played behind cloaks of quasi anonymity back on topic -
