I was aware of The Front Runner, that it was a groundbreaking gay novel decades ago.  I can understand it's significance back then and how it still holds a special place in the hearts and minds of many.
So, it's been on my want-to-read list.  I finally got around to it.  I'm glad I checked this one off my list.

I used to book a pretty good massage therapist.  Then one day I arrived at the same time he returned home.  He was smoking and brought the cigarette inside the apartment.  That sucked!  Did not know he smoked.  Was surprising, since he claimed to be a trainer.
He quickly set up his table and began.  His massage was not focused and he seemed distant.  That was terribly disappointing, after the prior, positive sessions.
I never booked him again.  I noticed over time he changed his profile name and his incall locations.  So I wondered if his massage clients were dropping him.  Whatever his issues, "not my problem."
To the OP, I feel your disappointment.  I tend to not repeat when a session is that disappointing.
Go with your gut, versus wishful thinking.
If you have a friendly relationship, and decide to give them another try, be careful complaining about the last session.  Think of a strategy, in case they are overly sensitive.

Giving a great massage requires a lot of energy. Providing porn sex requires a ton of energy. I don't know how anyone can sustain both, while making a career out of it. I'm burned out just from reading about members sexual appetites.

Of course the tax laws can change dramatically, but the RMDs associated with my IRA will occur at a time when I'll be earning a pension from my job plus Social Security.  I've known people whose retirement income was higher than the salary during their working years.  Looking at the figures, it's better for me to pay $10k in taxes now with the Roth conversion rather than $20k in taxes in 2040.  Also, hoping that I make good investment decisions, the 2040 balance on my Roth IRA will be much higher than my IRA balance now, so I'm happy to see that future investment income as tax free

I think an appropriate tip should be as follows:
    60 min 35+
    90 min 50+
    120 min 70+
If you tip any less than this I think it’s quite unacceptable. Being a massage therapist is a very physically demanding job they deserve to receive a fair and appropriate tip. Especially if there are extras involved, you should tip them even more. I’ve heard that some people leave really poor tips, which is not okay. Don’t forget, this is Los Angeles not Bangkok  the cost of living is very different.

I’d like to share a quick thought. Recently, I tried sessions with two new therapists, and it gave me some perspective.
It turns out that the spa owners and staff do read the posts in this forum. When it comes to massage quality or communication with clients, they genuinely appreciate feedback and are willing to improve. However, there have been some negative comments that aren’t entirely accurate, and unfortunately, they don’t have a way to publicly respond or clarify those points.
Some of the therapists have also expressed that they would prefer discussions here to focus on the massage itself, rather than other topics. They’ve mentioned feeling uncomfortable and even a bit unsafe, knowing that this is a public forum that anyone, including outside parties or authorities, can access.
For anything beyond general massage experiences, it might be more appropriate to discuss privately via DM. There have also been situations where clients come in expecting specific things because they read about it here, and then try to direct the therapist to do exactly that. It’s important to remember that every therapist has their own boundaries and professional choices, and it’s completely their right to decide what they are or aren’t comfortable offering.
Let’s be respectful of that and avoid putting pressure on them.

Agreed 1000%! I’ve been asked here and RM for “what extras I received and with who” and my answer is always to say that I went in for a massage and then only share my experience with the massage itself. Everything else is and should be private if anything happens and we should never expect to receive anything from anyone. This isn’t a brothel and if it were, some of y’all would be getting kicked out trying to tip the small amounts you’ve been mentioning because they almost insulting. Tip accordingly and tip well. Create a safe space for all and then enjoy the benefits of an amazing massage.

2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the establishment of route 66 as an official federal highway and many celebrations are occurring this year between Chicago and Santa Monica.....the TV theme from "Route 66" is, of course, legendary....the show ran from 1960-1964, following the adventures of Buz and Tod as they worked odd jobs and met quirky characters each week......regrettably, this scene has them driving old route 40 over Donner Pass above Donner Lake.....George Maharis was released from the show in 1963 when, in part, producers found out he was gay.....

Severe Cyclone Narelle has made landfall 4 times in Australia in the last week.
One can find satellite images on YouTube and AccuWeather.com of the storm hugging the north and then west coasts.
