32 teams advance to the knockout round, so it's early to start making predictions.
I love the Scottish fans, so it would be nice to see them advance.
Will a Cinderella team like Croatia advance.  Their #21 is handsome.  🥰  They beat Panama today in a pretty good match.
English fans in Mexico City were too special to join in the wave.  No fun!!  Where I come from we'd say those fans think "their sh!t don't stink".   😆

Fun Home, a critically acclaimed graphic memoir by Alison Bechdel, is one of those books I bought thinking
     "I ought to read that."

It sat on the shelf way too long.
Anyway, I started yesterday.  I'm half way through it.   Clever and funny, but also sad.  A lot of interesting literary references.

    Spoiler.
I'm debating what to think about the father, his darker side.

    I agree that networking happens.
My first job came from a professor's recommendation to a technical society colleague who was my hiring manager.   That was a pleasant surprise.
Yeah, tuition costs are crazy now.   Sounds like many graduate with sizeable debt.

I streamed a short film called Our Father, about a family dealing with Alzheimer's.  The story ultimately includes gay themes.
This was a bit of a chore for me, but to each his own.  The story is unique, I must say.
The streaming service is called YOW.tv.   My understanding is this streaming platform is geared towards indie productions.

HBO is running their trailer of Season 4 of The Gilded Age.
Larry Russell and Jack Trotter have one brief clip together.  Fans like me that find both characters are such sweet and handsome men might be pleased HBO threw us a bone in the video, below.

I hope Season 4 is generous with these two appearing in scenes together.  Will their relationship grow?
I understand Jack earned around $20,000,000 in today's currency for selling his patent.  Will Larry protect Jack from cunning interlopers that covet his wealth?

In the meantime, I'd love to find some juicy fanfiction featuring Larry and Jack.   😍

TonyDown got a reaction from thomas in The Seminarian
I followed up and watched Lim's next movie, Godless (2015).
This one streams with ads on Fandango at Home, YouTube, and TubiTV,  In the same way as The Seminarian, this one might have worked better as a play versus a movie.  It seemed a little tedious.
Found a picture of Lim and his cast, on IMDB.COM.

It's hard to believe that Audrey fforbes-Hamilton first appeared on our small screens in 1979 in To the Manor Born. Penelope Keith's appearances there and in other British television shows, most often as an aristocratic or upper class lady were memorable, and the humour gentle. She passed away on 29 June at the age of 86. Vale.

IMO, a sweet guy, gifted, and so on.  Yes, his reputation suffered.  I'm not interested in rehashing that here.

I follow a few LGBTQ movie pages on Facebook, where I've seen The Seminarian (2010) mentioned from time to time.  The director, Joshua Lim, relocated to the States from Singapore and studied at USC.  I'm curious if he is still involved in film.  I don't see any recent activity since 2015.
Lim was recognized for this directorial debut.  It's a quiet film.  I read there was interest in adapting it into a play.  I could see that as a better format for this story.
The film is currently available on HooplaDigital, Kanopy, TubiTV and YouTube.
For me, I found some food for thought, but I would not watch it again.
Has anyone else watched this one?

I found this review that liked it. Looks like a pretty good Blog.

I've been procrastinating writing The Letter, information everyone would appreciate knowing after I'm gone.  When deployed in armed conflict, such as US troops that went to Afghanistan, is a time that many write such a letter.
I was going to print my draft last night but my printer ink cartridge went dry.   😆That said I thought of more to add in the meantime.
I hadn't thought of following a template such as the OP suggested.  I will look for that.
As far as formal estate documents, I completed those, signed and notarized.  My financial advisor admitted too many of his clients have not, against all his encouragement to get it done.
Sometimes I do admit "what do I care? I'll be dead." But knowing how much work is left, after Mom died, I have been continuously thinning out all the stuff I've accumulated.  Perhaps part of the thinning out is more to do with watching the hoarding TV show, that I realize how accumulating stuff can seem insane.

Reminds me of King Henry VIII's Tudor warship,  the Mary Rose. Built in Portsmouth England in 1511, it sank in 1545 and was raised from the seabed in 1982.
Today, visitors to the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard can experience the preserved portion of the ship,  and thousands of artifacts.
    My brother recently visited there.
