TonyDown got a reaction from + MikeThomas in Darren Criss to return to MHE after casting debacle
I was standing next to him, at the Ford Theater in LA, for the Rufus Wainwright concert (2017). So pretty! ❤️
Also saw him perform Hedwig at The Pantages (2016). Perfect. 😃.

TonyDown reacted to BSR in Brokeback, WTF is this writer talking about?
Gustavo Santaolalla won a very deserved Academy Award for his original score. Yes, the music is amazing. For me personally, I have to be in the mood to listen to it, beautiful as it is, because I associate it with the sadness of the movie.

That music is so haunting. The final scene ("Jack, I swear') with the moody music swelling is a classic tear-jerker.

Did they get to see the ranch house?
Sadly, I understand it is gone now.

TonyDown got a reaction from + MikeThomas in English Teacher on FX
I want to see this!
I have always liked Brian Jordan Alvarez. So funny.
He was on Morning Joe this morning. Sounds like the NYT gave some good press.
Love his wacky, clever YT content. I see English Teacher brought some of the players from "Gay and Wondrous Life...."
I hope the jealous gays don't come for him. 😉

Did you decide not to leave the forum?
Anyway, I found two articles about visiting Marakech that paint a different picture from your description.
Sounds like a place to be careful, such as connecting with men on dating Apps.

She is quite the fan!
The music brought it all back. Still to sad to watch again.
To think of the movies Heath never got to make.

TonyDown got a reaction from Gilfson in Los Angeles recommendations.
If you decide to travel to Long Beach, I recommend dining at La Parolaccia Osteria, a popular Italian restaurant, around 3 miles from the Aquarium of the Pacific. A favorite among my pals. 😀

You can't go wrong with a visit to Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach.
Unless you hate the ocean, animals, and driving.

TonyDown got a reaction from + Vegas_Millennial in Providers who erupt about politics
I had a massage provider in a chiropractor office, a young man. This was long ago, back in the Midwest. After several sessions I sensed he was praying over me. At first it bugged me. But later I decided to take as a compliment that he cared. Yeah, sounds ridiculous. But he was a nice guy that cared about me. I was to shy to confirm it.

TonyDown got a reaction from kingsley88 in J.C. Leyendecker Update
I understand the new Lucas Museum in Los Angeles will include his Leyendecker collection. Excited to see that. Scheduled to open next year.
Would love to have seen the 2023 show in New York, mentioned in the thread above.
I was in touch with a trusted expert that suggested another show unlikely for now. That said, I'm doing my best to learn about him.
I have visited The Haggin Museum, in Stockton, CA., mentioned in the above. Enjoyed their large collection very much.
Would love to see the collection at the National Museum of American Illustration, when/if they reopen.
Does anyone have a status on that? Their email contact has not responded which is not a good sign, IMO.
I understand there are other private owners of Leyendecker's work as well as.
Time marches on. The people that knew people that knew Leyendecker are gradually passing on.
There is quite a bit of content out there for anyone wanting to learn about the man, as well as vlogs that cater to art students.

TonyDown got a reaction from realestateguy75 in Paying an Executor and Successor Trustee
I am creating a revocable trust and will assign a successor trustee as part of my estate plan.
My estate is not complex, so in this case I wanted to understand what is typical for compensating the role, if it's a family member.
A 1% fee mentioned above seems reasonable for my successor trustee and executor, compared to the fee schedule professional fiduciaries quoted to me.

TonyDown got a reaction from realestateguy75 in Paying an Executor and Successor Trustee
Now that you've invested and saved, you may want to set up your estate to avoid probate and assure your legacy goes to the right place, right?
I looked into having a professional fiduciary act as my trustee and executor of my will. One takeaway is how much $$ they pay themselves seems a lot.
I'd rather have a family member be responsible and have them receive payment for the effort.
Also the two professional outfits I contacted did not give me much confidence.
So here is my question.
My question is for those that have worked on your estate planning, and not using a professional successor trustee or/and have been named as executor or successor trustee by someone else.
How much does the estate pay those roles, and how does that process work?
I have done some internet searching on this and will do more. But am hoping to benefit from first hand experience you might share.

TonyDown reacted to Heart It Deep in Gay Sex for Cash in Marrakech
Israel is the only country in the Region that recognizes Same Sex Marriages done outside the country, and it's reflected on your National ID card. There are multiple LGBTQ groups in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, preaching tolerance and peace. No other Middle Eastern country does as far as I am aware. There are gay people obviously everywhere glad you had so much fun in Morocco @BoyGeorgeandMarilyn
Israel is very safe. I was there the other day People are trying to live their lives amidst war. When you are in Israel proper Jews and Arabs are living together in peach and coexistence. I've seen it with my own eyes.
