Wind of Change | Crooked Media CROOKED.COM This podcast delves into workings of the CIA, and a theory they were involved writing a rock song that helped bring about the break up of the Soviet Union. Sounds crazy, right? Maybe not so crazy. A very intriguing podcast! I recently listened to it again and recommend it. Start with Episode 1 called My Friend Michael. (I learned about this podcast in a chat room. Can't remember where. May have been here, Company of Men, but got no hits when I did a search. Also, the podcast is not political in nature so it should pass muster with the rules for posting.)

"Jose" is an award winning film about a young man that lives with his mother in Guatemala. If you still plan to see it, there is a minor spoiler below, last part. I streamed it on Tubi. There were no subtitles and my Spanish comprehension is minimal. However, I understood enough to figure out the story. In short, this is my kind of movie. So poignant. One can't help but care about the lead. Obviously a well done movie, an award winner at Venice Film Festival. The ending is unconventional. I appreciate movies that offer the audience some ambiguity rather than a definite endpoint.
