I watched Bonus Track (2023) on Kanopy. Directed by Julia Jackman. She most recently directed 100 Nights a Hero with Nicholas Galatzine. I know some of you will be interested to see him again. 😉 I will look for it. Bonus Track is a sweet, mostly tame story. Well done, about a quiet young man in his final year of school. He dreams of being a pop star. A surprise cameo by Josh O'Connor. This trailer, below, is a little spoilerish, if that matters.

I would ask for the fee structure for ongoing clients and for a one-time financial plan. Do they sell annuities, mutual funds, life insurance, tax planning, legal estate planning etc? Do you need that from your financial advisor? You might ask how many clients they serve. How big is their Org? Also, you might ask about certifications, years of experience and education. I have my own tax advisor and estate documents attorney. My financial advisor reminds me when I should check with them to confirm certain decisions. I kept the same financial advisor from before I moved to Southern Cal. He has a copy of my revocable trust and power of attorney instructions in case I pass or am incapacitated. My bank and my credit union both encourage me to switch to their financial advisors. I am glad I never did that. Have you done an Internet search? I see there is a big outfit in LA serving gay clients that offers anything one might think of. Good luck!

I got busy hauling all the shoes out of my closet and giving them a good clean and/or polish. To pass the time I watched a couple of David DeCoteau films: House of Usher and 1313 FrankenQueen, on TubiTV. Some of the eye candy is enticing. I read one user review that claimed "so fucking stupid I loved it". I can relate to that. I also like to look up on IMDB dot COM if any of the actor's careers have evolved. Now and then it's interesting that yes, some have become successful actors. I recall enjoying his 1313 Billy the Kid. A western! Need to revisit that one. I rarely heard the term virgin discussed in my circles. I did hear the reference "cherry" but not often, meaning a young gay guy that had not bottomed. (Still had his cherry.) From old French, virgine meant pure, fresh, and untouched maiden.

Does this show still make the contestants eat "slop"? Maybe it's me getting older, but I gradually lost interest in Big Brother over the years I've watched a few episodes this cycle. I see they nominate 3 to go up on the block each time. What is the time capsule about? The guy that's on the block now, Drew, looks cute. But Chuk is hot, right? What are his chances?

Many years ago, back when I had Sirius XM, I listened to the Out-Q station. From time to time one or two of the shows on Out-Q included interviews with Rentboy providers. Was fun. After Out-Q was dropped by Sirius XM, I ended my subscription. Not long after came the Federal raid which shut down Rentboy. That was a little jarring to me, after all the light hearted frivolity on Out-Q, to hear the Feds came in and shut it down.

When I quit smoking, many years ago, I needed a lot of help. One piece that stuck with me was to remind myself, during urges, "what do you really want?" I wanted to be a non-smoker. That might sound glib to many, but I found it helpful. Sounds like you outlined your goals, "what you really want." If you find yourself wanting a snack, perhaps you can fill the void with a tall glass of water. If you are able, keep moving. Perhaps get a pair of walking shoes and take walks. Good luck!

Sounds like strong cash flow still supports their dividend. The dividend yield is attractive. I had a bond recently mature so I added more Verizon this week as a relatively safe place to park the money. Analysts are relatively positive about the stock.

Watching to the end of the credits, there is a clue to expect more from this franchise. Also, according to the Internet, Galitzine will return to reprise his role.

Masters of the Universe is still screening at a couple of Regal Cinemas today. I streamed it on Amazon Prime. I'm in the mood for a classic vintage porn film, specifically Boys in the Sand, directed by Wakefield Poole. Can anyone suggest where to get a copy or how to stream Boys in the Sand? I've been looking around various kinds of Websites but no luck so far. There are plenty of Websites with the "director's cut" version. Those are OK. Nothing against Wakefield Poole, but I am in the mood for the real deal, 😁 without his commentary. One review of Boys in the Sand suggested "in a way: sleepy, oneiric, strangely aesthetic…" . Sign me up!

I bought the book when the play that references it, Buyer and Cellar, was on tour. I skimmed it a few times. Recently I thinned out my books, donating quite a haul. This one I went back and forth on, until finally deciding to keep it, and give it a more thorough reading. It's a fun read paired, with a cocktail 🍸
