  1. That's Parker Posey. ❤️ Coming to TubiTV. Happy Purim
  2. Overall I enjoyed the show. Great music. Connor was perfect. Yeah one of the skits was weird but Connor still executed. I'm sure he'll be invited back in the future for his next big acting gig.
  3. Here is a relatively recent vlog from his LA condo. It's worth watching to the end. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZThnv9mpj/ More .. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZThnv3wKB/ Same if you like Insta instead.. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8FhkldPLAy/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  4. Circling back to the Olympics and Heated Rivalry, Connor Storrie hosted SNL tonight. Members of the USA men's and women's gold medal teams appeared alongside Connor. Hudson Williams made a surprise appearance. Was pretty good. 👍🏻
  5. I have a scan of a family photo, sent to me by a distant relative, asking if possible to correct some flaws. The original photo was slightly blurred, possibly from age. There is also a spot where the photo was rubbed. The photo has sentimental value so I want to try. Here is my question. Has anyone had success digitally correcting images? Any recommended applications? The first one I found was an on line service, but after some due diligence they sounded a bit sketchy. My search also returned Adobe Photoshop and another called Canva. I have not investigated these yet.
  6. Did not know they were related. Loved Eydie Gorme. Sedaka continued posting video clips on line until very recently, including hosting another popular vlogger inside his lovely residence. He talked about writing songs and recalled he was surprised how, among his songs, Connie Francis did his Stupid Cupid. He also wrote Where the Boys Are.
  7. He wrote a lot of hits. I admired Neil Sedaka a lot. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/neil-sedaka-singer-songwriter-60s-70s-dies_n_69a21ae6e4b03f5cc1b40750 Another great talent that came out of Brooklyn. Image from the HuffPost article.
  8. I'm curious how the series will adapt the novel. Wouldn't surprise me if they jettison that entire Italy story, with how few episodes most productions offer nowadays. What I meant by comparing Paul to Elio is how too often they failed to understand what was going on inside another person's head. They assumed wrong.
  9. If you like D.O. you might like Episode 1 of Weird City in YouTube.
  10. Based on the novel by Andre Aciman, about the life of complex character Paul. His mental hijinks reminded me of Elio Perlman. I was excited Jeremy Allen White was cast to play Paul. He seemed perfect. But just recently White exited the production. Timothee Chalamet fans are clamoring for him. I don't see that. Mike Faist could work. He has excelled playing similar dramatic characters.
  11. 👆 @MikeBiDude My parents did the same, and I have a friend even now that adds a small spoon of evaporated milk.
  12. Yes. USA beat Slovakia today for the other spot.
  13. The Olympic Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena includes a stadium organ. Watching the game today, I noticed the organ medley playing included the refrain from All the Things She Said, on a loop. This is not enough This is not enough I know hockey arenas in many places play All the Things She Said. That the Olympic venue joined the homage to Heated Rivalry was extra cool. 👏🏻 The men's gold medal game will be on Sunday. It may seem apropos for Heated Rivalry fans that Canada will compete in the gold medal match.
  14. He's cool with da gays. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DI_kadfOA46/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  15. I have read 4 of Aciman's books. I enjoyed all of them. CMBYN is special. I have listened to the audiobook and read it multiple times.
  16. Nothing posted since October.
  17. Six kids is a lot. Hopefully the GoFundMe will soften the strain.
  18. I watched "The Rules of Attraction" last night. VanDerBeek was the highlight of the movie. A great actor. ❤️ R.I.P.
  19. Finally started Season 1. Two thumbs up!
  20. Just binge watched S3 of White Lotus. I had a much more charitable response to it on second watch. Liked it. Maybe I'm just older and wiser. 😆 The ending really got me. Rick and Chelsea leaving on the cadaver carts, and Pornchai, left behind, standing on the beach. The look on his face. The accidental poisoning got me too. Tim thinks his son is dying.
  21. My understanding was daytime talk shows were cheaper to produce than daytime dramas. I was never a big fan. There used to be some interesting soap operas, and lots more of them. That gave actors more work.
  22. Since you went there,😉 I think of an ocean cruise ship as a floating germ box. I could add that being stuck on the ocean with thousands of WEHO style party queens, let alone the drug use, sounds less than appealing to me. Sorry to all you WEHO style party queens. I wonder how they tolerate all the average gays, bless them. I know of a gay/lesbian/straight-ally cruise outfit that sounds fun and appealing. But again, I don't want to be trapped on the ocean on a floating germ box. I did sign up for a gay river cruise with a friend, on the Columbia River. Alas, the cruise ship operator went bankrupt.
  23. I might also enjoy learning bridge. My hometown had a fantastic newspaper with everything, including a daily column on playing bridge. I didn't know the game but the column must have been adjacent to something I read so I noticed it. My mother belonged to 3 bridge clubs. She used to deal bridge hands on the dining room table for practice. My sense is those days are gone, meeting in homes and playing bridge.
  24. I'm guessing they have traveled with drugs in the past without a hitch. Their luck ran out! Rather than saying something uncharitable, may I add..... Just say no! 25. A coworker and family had tickets to Price is Right but did not get called on stage. Another coworker was on Wheel of Fortune and was a big winner. Our office is not far from Culver City where it's taped. I was in the studio audience for a late-night talk show. Was a fun experience.
