My grandmother had a signed Wallace Nutting print on the wall that captured my attention when I was growing up. I was curious about the characters portrayed. I learned years later the print belonged to my aunt, that she planned to leave it to some museum out east, as if it was a sought after item that many would appreciate. Many years have now passed. The print showed up recently among my mother's belongings. After doing some quick searching on the Internet, it seems that Wallace Nutting prints are not all that rare, or valuable. Some examples found were sold for around $250. That said I'm still curious about the characters in the print, and about Wallace Nutting.

I recommend reading Ronan Farrow's Catch and Kill, listen to the podcast or watch the same HBO series. That book really pissed me off how the manipulation happens and the guilty have gotten away with it. Also there are male models on YouTube that discuss how they are treated poorly by the modeling industry and paid little. One guy I follow has admitted how he was raped. The charges sound damning how victims were cooerced by Jeffries. One can expect the legal defense will crucify the victims. They need to be brave. Acting and modeling are businesses. There should be no room for submitting to sex trafficking pigs.

There were LOTTA cute guys stripped to the waist during the UCF v Iowa State game last night. The weather had to be on the cool side but those dudes were so excited with that last minute scoring drive. I swear the camera operators keep finding these guys and they love showing it off when the team scores. Maybe It's me but the quarterbacks sure seem more handsome lately. 😋 Iowa State's quarterback is a looker.

When the Brooklyn Dodgers moved to LA they temporarily played at the Coliseum. There are still a few folks around here that attended games there, but most of that old timey nostalgia is long gone. That said, I look forward to an exciting world series .

Was mentioned already, and I'll reiterate, the price of cereal has skyrocketed while the number of servings per box has dropped significantly. I question the "cereal for dinner" recommendation. Hot cereal would be more economical and possibly better for you. But for a balanced diet, cereal for dinner seems unorthodox. For me, I stick to hot cereal when having cereal. My Mom usually served hot cereal. Wheaties, corn flakes, or raisin bran were a convenience, but with 5 boys, hot cereal made more sense. These days I might buy peanut butter chex or Life, but not often.

Sometimes emotional intelligence and personality can make or break building solid friendships. Not everyone knows how.

How are home utility bills, winter and summer? For a condo? For a medium size home? Hypothetically, for someone that enjoys keeping their home nice and cool during so many days over 110F, would that generate really expensive utility bills? How high could it go?

I agree with most of what everyone posted. Demands on time is part of the challenge. Where I came from, my family of origin and lack of diversity in people and in worldview impacted my ability to strike up new friendships as I ventured into the world. Moving away long ago, to the West Coast, was helpful. Everywhere out here I've lived, Oregon, Bay Area, and SoCal, I've made good friends. But I've learned after moving or switching companies, that folks are not apt to keep in touch. It takes work. I get it though. People only have so much time. Having a gaggle of bar friends isn't my scene. I do have a group of friends, including a straight guy and straight woman and some gay dudes. They are all single. We have common interests and enjoy time together. But I live further out from the city so the drive for me can be exhausting. I do the best I can, and when it seems like that isn't enough I own that. My sense is anybody can feel isolated. Yes maybe being gay feels like a disadvantage, but should it? Lastly, COVID derailed some social activities that never got going again.

With all that bad news, one might wonder if the smart money will start buying the stock. Won't be me though.
