I see where you're coming from, but would you be okay with contributing financially to someone with so much hatefulness?  Only speaking for myself, but I wouldn't be able to hire any professional if I knew they promoted such ignorance and hate.  No lawyer, no accountant, no healthcare provider - I would rather distance myself from anyone with those attitudes, rather than support them - no matter how good they might be at their job.

Definitely live and let live, and I trust you know my reply wasn't meant as a judgement in any way.  I have likely hired all sorts of people, from gardeners to car mechanics, and musicians to accountants, who might very well have views that I would find offensive or even dangerous.  But I haven't knowingly done so - if any of them were public about their views, I would have chosen someone else.  And if I found out after the fact, I would choose someone else the next time.  I don't screen or do any deep dives on people, but if something was made known to me and I could confirm it, that would be something I would have to consider in making decisions.  But that's just how I approach it, and I don't expect everyone to see it the way I do.

Prior to 1970, over 50% of families with children had at least one parent at home, not working for pay.

The rate of families with a stay at home parent has remained stable for the last quarter century, with almost 1 in 5 stay at home parents now fathers.

A lot has to do with the elimination of shame in society. With the acceptance of single parenting as a choice,  we have a second generation of kids whose parent(s) didn't have a parent at home because they had to work, and often had no father figure to speak of.
Combine that with schools that can't discipline kids and get rewarded for graduating kids who can't even read, and it's no mystery why this generation is largely not capable of being functional adults. Its by no means just their fault, but it doesn't change the fact that some day they will have to face a reality check.

I met him at least 25 years ago.  I was disappointed, because he was supposed to be the #1 escort, and I just felt, he's nice looking but not very sexy.  Obviously, a lot of others found him hot.

Yes and no. Their concept of the "real world of today" isn't real.  At some point they'll have to actually work and move out of their parents house. They aren't ready to be self-sufficient.

Would be nice to beleive that, but sadly not so. It may not be the fault of the kids today, sure. But the internet has made them grow up faster than their brains can handle it. Also the lack of company loyalty witnessed by their parents generation has killed any work ethic most may have had. Add to that the epidemic of single parents and elimination of shame in anything (living off the government, stealing, sense of entitlement), and it's a pretty bad situation.

Note - if you use Zelle, the payee sees your real name. Use Venmo.or CashApp where you can use a handle . Gen Z is pretty internet and AI savvy . With a name they can easily access your life history with addresses and all in a minute. Watch out.

I was a wrestler in high school and after gym class wrestling we were told to take a shower.  I was always erect or nearly so after wrestling, which is not unusual in the sport.  At the beginning, I felt self conscious about it.  In time, it made no difference.   I think American attitudes toward nudity is ridiculous and even now, at the gym I attend, there are men showering with shorts and dressing and undressing under a towel.  This gym is predominantly gay, so this behavior is surprising.  On the other hand, in the steam room I have seen all sorts of sexual activity up to and including a guy being pig roasted.

This is triggering a memory for me of a high school math and gym teacher.  He also coached our baseball team and surely looked like a baseball player: tall and slender and of ideal body proportion.  His last name was Slavic, and he had an Eastern European-sort-of handsomeness.  Not sure how he ended up showering with us pubescent boys on occasion, but he had a long beautiful cock in the 8"- 9" range.  I had to sneak peaks at him while we showered and to this day remember what for me was his irresistible manly beauty.

To me, having gone through HS in the early 70's, when high school/college/YMCA's all had multi-spigot showers in one room, I find great amusement in the newfound prudishness around purposeful nudity in specific settings. Most every public shower area in schools, gyms, spas - all public shower rooms are cubicles now. Mustn't make the children feel uncomfortable.
Yet - and this is what amuses me - in the gay community, your digitized junk needs to be available for strangers' perusal before anyone will respond to a swipe. Selective modesty.

At my work, the Z'ers have a bad habit of not researching existing policies and articles, but instead asking the same questions over and over in different places.  I can't believe not looking something up is still a thing when looking up the answer is so easy nowadays with a Search function or Control+F.  They don't even have to know the alphabet anymore to look things up in alphabetical order!  When we made it so simple that you don't even need to know your ABC's anymore to go to work or fiction in society, God help us all when the Z's can't even use Search 🔎

Probably sounds awful but if I do give a deposit I’m more than likely just resorting that it won’t work out. I think it’s only worked out like once.

I do understand they want a guarantee that it’ll work out so they aren’t out $$ but that’s why I let my RM account speak for my consistency, as I have a lot of public reviews.

To begin with I don’t do deposits.  But I once had a regular asked me for a loan that could be used for a future discounted visit.  I knew I was taking a risk but he seemed like a genuine guy. I just wanted to let people know that sometimes it works out. He honored his future discounted rate with no difficulty whatsoever and I’ve seen him many times since and he’s never again asked for a loan.

Unfortunately a lot of these unprofessional providers live chaotic or on the edge of chaotic lifestyles. They’ll manage to show up for you a couple of times and it’ll be fun but eventually they’ll let you down because ‘they have to’. They didn’t mean it (they rationalise to themselves), their need is more important than yours (they tell themselves) and they definitely maybe mean to reimburse you (they tell you) but somehow it never happens and time moves on. Their life becomes more chaotic and they forget.
The red flags for these guys are always there: irregular replies, indications of drug use, unpredictable behaviour etc but they look hot and are enticing so you overlook it all and get drawn in. Hire professional guys, it’s much better for your sanity and your bank balance…

Providers: clients who won't send a deposit aren't serious and time wasters
Clients: providers who ask for deposits are likely scamming and not serious about their profession.
Oh, what a tangled web we weave. I guess we'll both have to decide if we're desperate enough to break the cardinal rule of our 'side'.
I know I'm not. Maybe it's because I'm pretty open to conversation and showing I'm "real," or maybe because Im clear that I pay cash only, but I've never been asked for a deposit or that would be the end of the conversation.

As much as Bozo sympathizes with the OP's tale of woe, it must bear repeating... NEVER, repeat, NEVER, repeat, NEVER give a deposit up front. There are enough stories of escorts and masseurs that scam, ghost, don't show up, and then block the client. How many times do you have to read or hear about all of the warnings?
There comes a time when we have to take responsibility for our actions. And Bozo is glad to see that the OP took accountability for his mistake.
Sending a deposit bears a risk. If you choose to ignore the risks, and still go ahead and send money in advance, don't complain that you got ripped off. It's akin to a cigarette smoker lamenting that he/she was diagnosed with cancer.
Anytime a provider asks for money in advance, click your heels together and repeat three times, "No thanks, No thanks, No thanks...." And then move on to another provider in your area.
    Caveat emptor.

You are correct. And Bozo will keep rolling his eyes when you make comments like the above.
Only the bizarro world of conspiracies did Dr. Hoover - a highly successful, brilliant, and beloved neurosurgeon - "play a role in the scenario". Truly sick and disgusting.
And before you respond, remember that other COM members, including potential clients, will be reading all about your theory that Dr. Hoover played a role in his own murder.
That's not a good look for you.

"When I said not casting blame on either side, I was meaning it in a way that was simply saying: I won’t “blame” the doctor for his own fate BUT, I have seen this dynamic play out so many times.."
How magnanimous of you not to blame Dr, Hoover for his own murder .
This is not about Bozo being "angry". It is about expressing shock at what you wrote in your post.
Even though you admit that you don't know anything about the specifics of this particular case, you type four paragraphs of hypothetical "what-ifs" and "based on my experience" nonsense to try to explain the motives of Dr. Hoover and Burks.  Based on your vast knowledge of the older wealthy white man/younger poor black man dynamic, you can pick apart exactly what went on here..... without knowing any of the details of the case.
This was simply a cold-blooded murder and robbery. Anything more is baseless speculation on your part. It was committed by an animal who has no value for human life, who had killed before and gotten away with it. Despite what you may think, this murder has no relation to BLM, women's rights, black/white dynamics, or gay mental health access.

Very surprised and disappointed to hear what happened to Cliff.
PRMiguel (his earlier name) was around for years and well regarded here.  He then disappeared, presumably retired.  He reappeared after several years' absence in 2017.  While that was good news for those who like his type, I remember wondering what brought him back to the business.  One wonders if he's having money issues, but it's incredibly shortsighted to burn a bridge with a repeat customer for the sake of $100 today.
This isn't the first time for this.  There is one negative RM review that says:  "This horrible human being stole money from me! I can't believe it! He just stole my money, blocked my number and when I called from another number He pretended that He was on his way to work things out and simply vanished! I have some text messages!"

multiple user names & imposters are nothing new here and are to be expected in an “anonymous” forum like this
there are multiple members using different user names & sometimes talk to each other and about each other - why they play these games is beyond me
its usually obvious because the writing style eventually gives them away.
