It depends. Not more than 24 hours. 

24 hours is the maximum amount of time I’m willing to wait for a response before I move on.

If I have not had a response within 24 hours, I move on.

This is a huge peeve of mine with some providers.  Not sure how they think this is good business sense.
I get some clients can be a pain in the ass with never ending messages.  When I am looking at someone new, my standard questions are if they are available at a certain date and time, rates and if they can outcall to a certain location.  I don't think it's asking too much to get more than a one word answer to these questions. 
I now just immediately stop engaging if this happens as it's a waste of my time.  There are plenty of guys who are polite and willing to work with you. 

It's unprofessional in an escort setting. In a massage setting, I think that some providers use the massage thing as cover for escorting, hence the upselling for additional services. I have been offered additional services for additional charges, and I have said no since I am satisfied with what was agreed, and he did delivered what we agreed. I have also said yes, and got a little more escorting type of service in addition to the massage, and I have been ok. Otherwise, like Simon mentioned, not upselling some extras might be underpriced escorting. There's no absolute rule for any of this, so it's not easy to standarize the practice.
However, an escort interrupting a session of what it is already expected and negotiated, to just ask for more money is not only unprofessional, but it gives the provider a bad reputation, In these times where communication is easier, reviews are available and places like this forum exist, it's just bad enterpreneurship for providers to incur in that practice.

Also, a lot of these "masseurs" aren't even real masseurs. They are escorts in the guise of a masseur, so what am I tipping for? Their escorting capacity? 

not interested in demeaning providers for their service. but it is a market place and providers are testing the limits. i'm saying no. inflation exists. but my personal income hasn't increased the 50% or more that some providers are requesting.

Independent masseurs should ask the price they wish to be paid for the services rendered. If the services exceed the advertised labor, a “tip” may very well be warranted. If not, the advertised fee is sufficient. This approach has always worked very well for me.

I texted Dominick for info.  It felt like texting a help desk or a bot. Big time gaps between responses and each one started with a paraphrase of my text then a short reply. I finally said we should chat later since he seemed busy. He became more responsive and I asked about his fee. $500 for the first hour and $400 for subsequent hours for a basic bf experience. I replied sorry but that's more than I'm comfortable with. No reply from him.
