I suspect Mike knew well enough to avoid a pointless exchange where Toomuch4u would never be satisfied with the answer because all he has are his assumption. We've periodically had posters who mostly want to run down any provider they discuss without accepting its an occupation like any other, with plenty of different motives.

Fair enough.  If it helps, I did confirm directly with the provider that he uses he/him pronouns (he will also accept they/them, but never she/her as implied in multiple places in his profile, starting with referring to himself as a ‘guy’ in the first sentence, but also in his interview questions).  I also booked him as I was already planning a trip to Canada.
