  1. ... A dance quoted him $10 or $15 for a private dance and after my friend got off insisted on bullshitting with him for a good ten minutes. When my friend gave him money what he thought was for the entire dance and a nice tip the dancer got pissy and told him it was per song and my friend didn't have the money My friend came and retreived me and said we were going and I asked why and he said they didn't like how they did things there and the dancer told me his friend owed him something like $75 and my friend told the dancer he gave him all he had and told the dancer to call the cops if he wanted and we left.

Bernie walks up to a fruit stand...

Bernie: "How much are the apples?"

    Fruit vendor: "Twenty-five cents"

    Bernie: "I'll take 10"

Fruit vendor: "Ok, here you are. That will be $2.50"

Bernie: "What? No way! You said the apples are twenty-five cents!"

    Fruit vendor: !?

  2. I think it's pretty clear to everyone who's been to a strip club that the price is per song. There can be disagreements between client and dancer on the number or songs, but the per song fee structure is a given. But I've run into surprises when a dancer tacks on additional charges at the end of a lap dance session because I did something "extra" during the dances and the "extra" costs more. (More accurately, he let me do something extra.) He's given me no forewarning ahead of time nor does he say anything while it's happening. The tricky part of this is that another dancer at the same club on the same day will include that particular "extra" in the per song rate with no up-charges -- often after you've done a minimum number of songs.

What do you do? Pay the extra to avoid an embarrassing scene? Refuse to pay even when the dancer gets somewhat aggressive?

  3. ...I often think that much of it has to do with what I would want as a woman intending to have children. It feels as though if I were a woman, I'd prefer a sexual partner who would be most likely to bring me healthy children, and to protect them.

I don't agree with the theory that same sex attraction is based on some innate or genetic need to have children. This implies that homosexuality is a biological or genetic mistake. I think it's actually the opposite. There's a theory among sociologists (or is it psychologists?) that same sex attraction has evolved so that individuals within a species can bond without reproducing. It aids in societal cohesion without resulting in more offspring than the species can support. Just like higher brain functions and advanced motor skills, homosexuality helps the human species thrive.

So my sexual attraction to other men is based on an evolutionary need to bond without reproducing, which leaves the question, why am I attracted to certain types of men? I don't know, but part of it might be my attraction to traits that I lack and wish I had (eg, more muscular arms and better pecs). But it's certainly not due to a subconscious need to have their babies (their sperm, yes... but not their babies).

  4. With the exception of a few old Belami type DVDs, I got rid of all non-electronic porn. Everything else is stored on a password protected, encrypted SSD card. Having an SSD card attached to my PC won't surprise anyone. I've been vocal about the need to backup computers in case of a hard drive failure or similar problem. 10 consecutive, failed password attempts automatically erases content from the SSD card. I don't care if people find the DVDs. Everyone knows I'm a single gay man and it might even seem suspicious if they found no porn at all.

  5. Don't know that I can select one of these boybands as a whole, but as individuals I'd go for JC Chasez from NSync any day. Although I was never a boyband fan, it was impossible to not recognize JC's hotness.

But if I had to select a boyband for overall hotness, I'd go for the French group, 2be3. I know next to nothing about their music, but Filip Nikolic (in the middle) was beyond hotness.

  6. I checked the NYTimes. They have a special - $1 a week for a year. You can't go wrong. You can subscribe to both.

I subscribed taking advantage of this NYT special offer. Can't go wrong with that! I'd subscribe to both except there's no way I'd take the time to read both. I also read may home town paper every day plus a couple of other publications and online news sources. It gets to be a bit too much (for me). I agree with your comments about the NYT and Post software interface on my desktop PC. But I do a lot of online reading using my Android tablet and prefer the Post's mobile app on that device (but not enough to keep me from switching to the NYT).

  7. Thanks all for the feedback so far. The youtube from from @JayCeeKy does a great job of listing differences:

Ownership: the Post, of course, is Jeff Bezos. Although the NYT is publicly traded, controlling ownership is a the Ochs-Sulzberger family. (ownership is not a deciding factor for me)

Number of subscribers: NYT has twice the number of paying subscribers. (not a deciding factor for me)

Number of articles per day: NYT publishes about 250 articles per day. The Post is twice that at about 500 per day. You might think this is a plus for the Post, but part of the reason for the larger number is they include a lot more opinion pieces from outside contributors. Not that I disagree with most of the opinion pieces, but it gets a bit repetitive for me. (pushing me towards the NYT)

Content: The general consensus is that the Post does a slightly better job as political coverage. The NYT has more international content and therefore a more international appeal. (I'm a bit burnt out on politics these days and like the idea of a more international focus).

Looks like I'll be switching to the NYT.

PS. I really like the guy in the youtube video--not in a major hard-on sort of way, but he has a certain geeky quality that I find appealing. I just subscribed to his youtube channel.

  8. I've had an online subscription to the Washington Post for quite a few years. This is in addition to my midwestern home town newspaper which also leans liberal. But I'm considering cancelling the Post and subscribing to the New York Times instead. Why? I consider myself a progressive and very much agree with the Post's progressive leanings, but I wonder if reading the Post everyday puts me in a liberal echo chamber -- sort of a less extreme version of what Fox News is to ultra conservatives. To New York Times and/or Washington Post readers, what's your take on this? Have you ever compared the Times to the Post?

  9. Are there any escorts in NYC who rim clients?

This is pure speculation on my part, but I suspect there are escorts who will rim some clients but not others. To illustrate my point, you might find lots of escorts willing to rim the first ass shown below but no escorts willing to rim the second one.

  10. As much as you like him and want to continue seeing him as an escort, you are putting your own reputation at the company at risk. What happens when he decides to confide in one of his new coworkers how he got the job referral and his prior relationship with you? He may think that his coworker will keep the secret, but secrets tend to not remain secrets. I was a hiring manager at a large company for years and would never have considered hiring someone with whom I had a history that I wanted to keep secret. Even the appearance of a conflict of interest can stain your reputation.

  11. The small town cemeteries from my parent's home towns took on new meaning for me a few years ago when my sister and I started investigating our family ancestry. Now I see headstones with names of people that I recognize as 2nd, 3rd and even 4th cousins. The names and birth and death dates on headstones now fit into family history that I better understand. It gives me a peacefull sense of knowing who I am in the world and, as weird as it sounds, feeling at home.

  12. Same here! I've met a number of folks from the board that way; though I've never been to Palm Springs. Used to meet up in Montreal and NYC with those who expressed a shared interest in the strip clubs. Met up with some people for a Swinging Richards trip a few years ago.

    +1 :)

  13. I've also collected matches over the years, but more out of habit than as a hobby. Match books would wind up in a container inside a kitchen drawer to be used as needed. This thread prompted me to take a look at what's in that container and I'm please to see match books from Rounds in NYC (long ago closed) and Remingtons in Toronto (also closed). Of course there's also matches from all up and down Rue St Catherine in Montreal (Hotel Gouverneur, Piazzetta, Campus, Stock Bar, Cora Dejeuners) Hmmm... wonder what kind of mischief I've been up to for the last couple decades? ;)

  14. OMG. I went to my usual grocery store yesterday and they finally had a few packages of toilet paper on the shelf! Although I knew I wasn't at risk of depleting my current stock of TP for another 4 weeks or so (**), I bought a package (4 rolls in pack). Have I turned into a hoarder?

(** My toilet has a bidet attachment so I don't go through TP very quickly).

  15. This is not a photo of my ex, but rather a photo of Spanish model Ignacio Pérez Rey. When I saw this photo at first glance, however, my face turned red, since I thought it was my lyin' Paraguayan....

In case anyone wants to know, this is not a photo of my ex. I had to end the relationship because he was way too horny for me. :( He never wanted to go out and only wanted to get naked with me and have mind-blowing sex. It was ssssooooooo tiresome. I tried to be patient but one day he tied me to the bed, sat on my face and then shot a massive load all over my face. That's when I knew I just had to move on. :( ;)

  16. I hope I do have my facts wrong. This is the first time a majority of the staff have been tested. The letter that we received stated in all caps YOU CAN STILL WORK even if you test positive. So if tomorrow the test comes back positive and I continue to have no symptoms I am still working. And the other part of this is I can refuse to go to work if I test positive but I can't get unemployment now because there was nothing preventing me from going to work.

You've got me curious. I know that quidance from the health department in my state clearly says that staff testing positive or showing symptoms should NOT work. Let us know how your situation resolves.
