Medin reacted to Rod Hagen in Gay people often have older brothers. Why? And does it matter?
Thank you very much, I hadn't read about this study/finding. Very interesting to me, and it was great that they quoted Dean Hammer at the end. I loved his study, and I NEVER understood why gays were so opposed to him and his finding/hypothesis. I have a hard time reconciling Bogaert's Y Chromosome finding/hypothesis, which makes sense, with Dean Hammer's XQ28 ( I used to have that T-shirt!). And so I asked Perplexity, which told me this (but I still don't see the connection):
In summary, Bogaert's and Hamer's studies complement each other by providing a more comprehensive understanding of the biological underpinnings of male homosexuality, involving both genetic and maternal immune factors. Their combined research supports the view that sexual orientation has a biological basis, rather than being solely a matter of choice or social/environmental influences.

Well…no.
You are queer. You are living a queer life.
And, you just confirmed it. A style can be changed. Your bisexuality can’t.
(queer = lgbtqia+)

But being in a profound relationship with a same-sex partner is a gay life, not “a gay lifestyle.” Being vegan or a hiker or sober - or celibate - is a lifestyle. Being gay is who you are, not what you do.

I don’t like the whole idea that there are reasons people are gay or become gay. It goes against the born this way philosophy in my opinion. If people think there are reasons for being or becoming gay, people might think there are ways to not become gay or ways to become straight. Which makes it seem like being gay is a lifestyle choice, which we all know it isn’t.

It’s 2024, and still the ludicrous fiction of a “gay lifestyle” is being used!

I'd love to meet your brother!
I would take this study with a grain of salt! Everything depends on the individual, family, circumstances, genetics, etc.
I didn't call him a jerk but "having children all around the world" doesn't strike me as family values, personal responsibility, etc. Obviously life happens... in the inner city (before gentrification) having kids from different families was a common problem.

He sounds like a jerk.

Most guys in the military put on weight right after leaving service. Children all over the world.... lack of family values isn't sexy to me...
Back to subject.
2 sisters, 1 younger brother. I was the 2nd born to my parents and the only gay.

"Guts" is just another way to say intuition ,street smarts, and unconscious desire. Always go with your gut.

Caution here too!
This forum is becoming influential, which is great news, but the downside is that it's attracting scammers and "influencers." Always consider the source and his reputation. If you see a new profile praising a masseur or an older profile habitually praising masseurs that get negative reviews from others, that is actually a bad sign.
I recently blocked a recent profile that recommended a scammer that I regretted hiring. I should have checked his activity and reputation, things are pretty obvious in retrospect.

The “gut” is usually right.
it’s when we think with our dicks that we wind up saying…..
“I knew better.”

Reviews on RM and MF tend to be useless garbage. Yeah, there are some honest ones but fake ones prevail IMHO.
Reasons to be extra careful: (1) too many rave reviews obviously written by the same person, especially if the profile is recent and (2) profiles that have been around for a long time and have no reviews.
As far as new profiles, they could be a better bet if they are genuinely new, but there's always the risk of them really being old, just under a new name, and these are toxic. It's always a good idea to ask this forum whether someone recognizes them, but you may not be alerted on time.
Also, avoiding new guys who charge a lot, especially if their pix reveal modeling aspirations, is a good idea. These are the most important "use your big head" situations. 😅

Trust your instincts. If something doesn't feel right, it's best to walk away.

Bumping this to see if anyone has met him. I reached out to him since he has four good reviews and see he is in Detroit (I noticed this thread started last year, suprirsed this is my first time seeing his ad in the Detroit listings).
Didn't respond to messenger so sent him a messege on whappz and he quoted $375 for an hour so pass, but noticed his communication skills are bad, never responded on RM and took a while on WA and his English isn't very good in the Message

Medin reacted to + Vegas_Millennial in Recommendation needed for lube
Last night I invited over an escort with the largest penis I've ever taken. I let him know I only had water based lube in case he has different lube he preferred to use. While we were fucking, he told me that my ass just swallowed his gigantic cock with only pre-cum and spit as lube. Mind you, he had a lot of pre-cum. But when your body wants something, it wants it!

I carry my lube (and other accessories) in Ziploc bags when I travel. Sometimes doubled, i.e. lube in small bag, massage lotions in small bag, both into a big 1 gallon Ziploc.
Still messy *inside* the bag if an accident happens but my luggage/stuff stays out of it.

It would be foregivable if his phone went dead but my guess is that’s not what happened. One cancellation without an excuse is a hard pass for me. Two back to back cancellations for any reason is also a hard pass

Met up with him Halloween weekend. He is def HOT like his photos and actually very nice. However, he is not 5'10". More like 5'8". I really wanted just a massage but he didn't want to do that as it was super late. So I decided to go the escort route which I don't normally do. It was fast and mechanical. I wanted more kissing and touching but he just wanted to do the deed and move on. Maybe if he had been into me it could have been more fun but he wasn't. I would not repeat.

In my experience, just picked the photo you are least attracted to…the guy who shows up looks slightly worse than that.
