Guys get tattooed because they think it looks "cool". To each his own, but I find heavily tattooed guys revolting. Nothing is hotter to me than a great looking guy without a trace of ink on his skin.

Even if that is true, what's wrong with that? People wear trendy clothes to "look cool" and nobody gets bent out of shape about it. There's something about tattoos that triggers a hot button - causing some to talk about them in hypberbolic terms, e.g. that they are "revolting."

I'm not really into tattoos but they dont turn me off. Most tattoos are meh- take it or leave it but I have seen or seen pix of some really beautiful tats. Real works of art.

That being said, and I don't know why but there are some that just TURN ME ON! There is a porn star, Logan McCree, whose entire body is tattooed and for some reason I find it HOT! Major Hot!

Just my 2 cents. . .

Trendy clothes come and go. Tattoos are permanent. Let's see how pleased these tattoo zealots feel in 10-20 years when they look even more ridiculous.

If someone I was interested in wore clothes I didn't like, there's a good chance they'd change clothes eventually to something less offensive. That's not possible with a tattoo. The ugly thing just remains there day in and day out 24/7.

But I'm an equal opportunity disliker. I dislike earrings on men, any other piercings, most watches (although I'm better than I used to be on this), most jewelry on men (and to a lesser extent women), and makeup on men (unless they are in a play).

Then again, there's that episode of Seinfeld where the woman Jerry is dating seems to only wear the same dress every day...

I know Pride month is behind us, but perhaps we can show a little tolerance for those that add to the diversity within our community...

But that's their business. Somehow it puts you into a rage that somebody dared not to walk in lockstep with your expectations.

You might even be resentful of them for having a species of courage that you lack.

Tattoos don't put me in a rage. But -well it's like that woman in Spain who tried to repair a 19th century masterpiece of Jesus.

Let’s see how being salty works for you in 10-20 years when you sound even more ridiculous.

One, A tattoo is not just a permanent sticker, champ. It is an aesthetic that you adopt, and the longer you have it, the better your presentation because you know what works with the aesthetic and what does not. Shirts also have SLEEVES, surprise. Also, per your “20 years from now” nonsense, one of the most fashionable (and in my opinion very handsome) older men in the fashion industry is covered in tattoos and he looks great.

Just because it’s something that you can’t do, or pull off doesn’t mean it’s awful. I’m not mad at you nor resentful for your aesthetic being boring. So.

I love my tats. I realized the other day that your tats are part of your brand.

I don't mind modest tattoos, especially if they're truly done well. What I hate is scribbling. I don't know if there's a term for this style, because it seems fairly common - but the guys who get words or phrases in cursive/fancy "fonts" all across their chest, etc - to me it's very ugly. I don't see what the attraction to that is.

Why am I wasting my time in this thread?
