The Hots Tubs on Van Ness have closed

The end of an era: after 39 years, the hot tubs on Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco closed at the end of February. Over the years I'd been there more times than I could count, both on the clock and off. It was always good to know it was there as an option for a rendezvous. Though in concept it seems like it could be kinda nasty, and hard to believe such a place could exist, I always found the rooms to be really clean and well suited to the need at hand. Definitely had some fun times there.

 

Anyone else been there over the years, memories to share?

Why did they close?

Cant claim many visits, but at least 4 or 5.

 

It was clean. Smell of chlorine was powerful, but, hey.....

 

One of the most startling experiences I ever had with a rentguy was at Hot Tubs .... someone jiggling the doorknob, forcing their key, trying to enter our room, as we yelled ... the wrong room for them. Locks weren't very good, and they forced the door open. .. we were on the massage table which was adjacent the door.

 

We yelled, customer was startled, manager came running, we were left alone.... The whole experience was probably less than 30 seconds. But its what I remember most vividly about that place .

There’s still some hot tubs in Federal Way Washington. They are called the Elliot Bay Hot Tubs. I met a few escorts there. I think I had met with two f-ckbuds there before. I even went there once alone when I had what was probably cervical discitis, and wanted some warmth for my neck.

This is unfortunate, for I've had two occasions where I've played while at the Hot Tubs on Van Ness. Both times that I was there with my "go to," very fun guy with the exquisite and highly talented mouth,

I had super- fun times.

 

I know of one or two other venues, but I do not know anything about the personnel or the facilities themselves. I hope someone here will apprise all of us of it/them.
