IMA HOGG was a real lady many years ago....don't know full story, but I think she was a wealthy woman in Denver ? who was very well-respected and did a lot of charity....I may have all that wrong, tho.....

Ima Hogg was a socialite in either Houston or Dallas.

I once had a student whose name was Toya Lett--I think her mother must have been feeling a lot of hostility when she chose the name.

Ima Hogg was the daughter of Texas Governor Hogg. Many say she has a sister named Ura Hogg, but that's just an urban legend. Ima was one of the great collectors of American Furniture and Furnishings. Her collection is located in her home, Bayou Bend, which she donated to the Museum of Fine Hearts Houston. She never married.
