I didn't mention when I made the myasthenia announcement that I'm having a thyroidectomy on Monday. They (as in the pathologists) think, but aren't entirely sure, that I have cancer. Apparently I'm a minor medical mystery. My endocrinologist says usually the pathologists say that you either do have the Big (thyroid) C or you don't. My biopsy report says 'probable'.

So in case I don't post again before Monday, I'll see you all on the other side.

PS To be totally honest I lost OEM Certification years ago due to my circumcision, extraction of my wisdom teeth, and a cholecystectomy.

I lost my OEM Certification long ago, and now looking for the Warranty repair center. So far haven't found one!

Good luck with the procedure on Monday, I'm sending healing energy and thoughts your way.

By the way for clarification, I did mean I'd post Tuesday on the 'other side' of my surgery. I was not talking about communicating from the GREAT BEYOND!!:p

Hoping for the best possible outcome and a speedy recovery ...

With @Guy Fawkes and the 'Protector of the Realm' along with all the rest of my Forum brothers and sisters in my corner, how could I have anything but?

My Surgery is scheduled for 12:45 PM PDT (3:45 PM EDT, 2:45 PM CDT, 1:00 PM MDT, and I'm not sure when in Hawaii or Alaska) on Monday October 23rd. If any of you happen to look at the clock around that time and remember, all good/positive thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Remember to slip a gold coin (Or a silver dollar) to the anesthesiologist ... just in case ... to give to Charon. [This is a secret but highly respected tradition among anesthesiologist, imparted to them on the back of their Board Certification certificate.]

Seriously, best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Apropos the sobriquet OEM:

As I was told on my 40th birthday:

"[name withheld], the Life Begins at 40, and the Warranty expires at 45."

I buried on of my friends who was at that meal on my 45th birthday.
