Once had Steve York’s primary asset in my mouth during a strip performance (his, not mine)

Once called Eric Ryan to find out his hourly rate, but chickened out.

Once went a block out of my designated area to ring Donnie Russo’s bell, then interviewed the shirtless (very tanned, tatted) man.

Many at SF strip clubs Nobhill Theatre and now-defunct Campus.

Hired several

One of the hottest: Brad Stone walking away from the SF Pride Parade route in the most drool-inducing pair of shorts I ever saw.

I've met quite a few myself through this hobby.

Some have become friends. One is a straight porn (star) actor. (Although we have never had sex.) I actually stayed with him during my recent vacation.

I have a very short clip of Brad on the Maury Povich show in Sept 1995, after he posed for Playgirl. He's shown with a friend from high school, & uses his real name.

I think 'porn star' is an over used term here. Not all porn actors are 'stars'.

"Porn performer" is my preferred description

And Rentmen now makes the "pornstar" moniker laughable

Good point!

See this -

"The difference between a movie star and a movie actor is this - a movie star will say, 'How can I change the script to suit me?' and a movie actor will say. 'How can I change me to suit the script?"

I am going to take it to mean porn actor. I've seen Andrew Justice, Tommy Ritter (numerous times), Spike (w/Tommy Ritter), Jason Kingsley and Jed Wilcox (as a couple), Heath Jordan and Alex Rodriguez.

Ha~ So many political corrections for "porn star"...

I'm going to go with "Neurodermal Architect"

Since I film sessions with interested Clients, (for their own enjoyment and entertainment), I must say... my Clients have always been impressive neurodermal architects... top notch and sexy as can be~ I give them top billing~

Porn star sounds better. Some of these guys, at least in my world, are stars, so that's the way I refer to them. Besides, when I tell friends I had sex with a porn star, my friends always seem more impressed than when I say I had sex with an adult facilitator.

Eric Ryan's NYC rate in Sept. 1987 was $120, and he was worth every penny of it.

I like to use the term adult performer as it encompasses more of what we do in this industry. But I do have to ask, what makes someone a porn star versus a porn actor?

Having worked in Hollywood for many years and meeting many "stars", I'd have to say that—for me—a "star" is an entertainer that I fantasize about meeting up close. At the risk of seeming star-struck, Kurtis...you are, in my book, a "star". I fully intend to meet you someday soon. Your work on screen is spectacular! Thank you for many blissful explosions of happiness! :)

This is going back almost 20 years: As I was walking down 18th in San Francisco's, Castro District, I saw Blake Harper. We chatted for a bit, and he was a nice fellow, with no attitude. Some years back, I took a selfie with Vince Ferrelli, who was also a nice fellow.

I wonder, are Jason Kingsley and Jed Wilcox still a couple?

Hopeless romantic here.

As a younger member of this forum, I think the concept of a "porn star" is a bit outdated. The market is so saturated nowadays and anyone with Internet access and a cell phone can be an adult performer reshared on social media, made into gifs, etc. There are guys who are more popular than others for sure. But do we really want to bestow the honorific of "star" onto the likes of Brandon from SC?

As with mainstream movie stars, porn stars have "it." Although difficult to define, we know "it" when we see "it."

My partner did some work for Donnie Russo, and we chatted and got acquainted.

ah, Blake Harper! I subscribed to Unzipped in the late 90s or early aughts and I clearly had a crush on him; I had a chance to chat with him in Palm Springs; I thought he was intelligent, friendly and so incredibly hot!!

I've met Chad Hunt, and actually got a freebie from Tommy DeLuca at a gay resort we were both staying at. I am assuming that this thread was targeting encounters that were "off the clock" ?

I've also met Jonah Falcon.... well he's not really a porn STAR, but a porn celebrity. He's that odd looking guy with the really huge cock.
