I guess I'm getting really old but I don't care that the reviews are back. I been reading this site since the days of Hooboy. I find the forums more interesting that the actual reviews. What about you?

I do read the reviews in that they may highlight someone I had not seen before and then I go to the Forums to see if they have been discussed. Or then again I might do it the other way around. In a particular thread someone might mention an escort's name and if I am interested I will hightail it over to the reviews to see what people have said. Unfortunately, because of the times, I find them a little less valuable but not totally.

Agreed. I understand some members "forum" names don't use the same names they use when they do reviews. Given the limited information in the current reviews it would be nice to know if the reviewer was a forum member so that an attempt at a PM may be made to obtain more detailed information. In general, I check the reviews if I'm looking in a specific area or looking up a particular person, then I search the forums to see what others have to say.

I like the forums. They have the potential to be informative, and entertaining. However, like all social media, they're very unfocused, they can go in multiple and illogical directions.

 

I like sharing my opinions, and hope my forum posts are either helpful or amusing to others. But my primary objective is making informed rentguy hiring decisions; if I had to choose one over the other, it would be the reviews.

I used to read the reviews faithfully and only glance at the various forums. When Daddy shut down the reviews I considered giving up the site but decided to wait and see what happened. During that period I found myself reading the various forums and enjoying them, especially the Lounge.

As I said above I was once an avid reader or reviews. I also made a point of writing reviews as I felt a responsibility to other members of the site. Since the reviews have gone back up I find them so insipid that I no longer bother, wasting my time, reading them. If I have a question about an escort I simply request 411 on him in the Deli. If I meet with a great escort I simply announce that fact on the Deli and inform readers if they would like additional information to PM me.

Now what I'm about to say is likely of seriously offend some readers. If that is indeed the case so be it, that's the breaks. To those who believe that what I have stated above, regarding escort reviews is, in any way, disrespectful to Daddy or harmful to the site all I have to say is BULL SHIT. A number of members on this site, myself included, support it with cold hard cash not just pretty words. Pretty words don't buy a damn thing at the grocery store nor help pay the rent.

I understand the reason why the reviews have been cleansed, but I miss the down in the dirt, shitty dildo in the mouth reviews of yesteryear. They may not have been polite or accurate depictions of what really went on, but there was at least one a day that had me chuckling or breathing hard and both. Now, the reviews are PC because we are a PC society, at least in regard to free discussion of sex and the depiction of hard dicks on some internet sites. The new review format reminds me of certain escorts after the third or fourth hire, useful but nearly as much fun as they once were.

Yes, but as individuals we still may disagree. However, I am completely on board with Daddy decisions concerning the reviews.

I read reviews for information, and not necessarily complete info about the actual sex.

I skim the reviews every day, mainly when there's a new guy or someone whose ad piqued my curiosity. However, I do not, nor have I ever, thoroughly read every review nor were the salacious details that would rival any porn video of much interest. Nonetheless, I missed seeing new reviews while Daddy re-programmed the site.

 

As @WilliamM stated, circumstances vary. Up until recently, I was supporting an indigent relative who is finally in a place where she can meet her basic needs on her own and am in a position where I can support the site. We don't know what others' situations look like. When @stevenkesslar contacted me about donating and creating a donation program several months (a couple of years?) ago, we discussed how we needed to be careful about not alienating folks who couldn't contribute due to other obligations.
