I would agree that each case is unique. One of the best escorts working right now, who is very popular here on the forum, with only many, many positive reviews on Daddy's Review page was arrested and convicted when he was quite young for assault, and it was quite a violent crime. I found this out after I had hired him and written my first ecstatic review of our session (which was amazing!)

Later on (I have continued to hire him) we discussed it and he was completely open and honest about the very personal demons he was dealing with in his life at that time. He told me that the year he was incarcerated for the crime made him grow up and begin to accept responsibility for the life decisions he makes. So though he is not proud of how he was then, he is grateful to have gone through the experience and become a much better person because of it.

I'm not saying you should hire escorts who are felons, just that not all men who have committed crimes remain hardened criminals. Some, such as in this particular case, grow up.

I agree with you completely but it's impossible to know all this when all you see is a mugshot and the criminal charges.

Let me flip the script here.

What should an escort do if he discovered the client has a criminal record? Does he go ahead and meet a potentially dangerous individual? Or does he decline the business and miss out on the revenue?

I wonder how some clients would react if they learned an escort performed a background check and learned similar sensitive information.

As long as we're discussing morality like this, what difference would it make if they had a criminal record?

A criminal record doesn't give you an understanding. Turning someone away because of the existence of a criminal record is just fear mongering.

If you're looking for a reason not to hire someone, great, don't hire them. But, once a person has been convicted and done their time, shouldn't we be giving the person a chance?

I don't carry all my extra cash, or all of my valuable, or everything I have, to an encounter. Anymore than I carry them to the doctor's office or the gym. I'm not inviting someone to my home and into my office or safe. And I'm not hiring for an overnight with someone I haven't met.

So, if they have a criminal record, so what? If they can do the job I hire them to do, and I take the same standard precautions, then, ok by me.

Everyone deserves a second chance, even if he is a convicted criminal, which is not the case presented by the OP, but even in that extreme case I would consider the circumstances to make a decision. Circumstances are everything.

Specially those of us who like playing with young black urban boys from the hood, you better have an open mind about criminal backgrounds.

So let me get this right. In the process of reverse image you found his real name and then proceeded to search from there.

Depends on what the crime is though. The cops will usually arrest someone in a domestic dispute even though both parties are guilty. Then they'll be charged with assault. It could be as simple as slap across the face.

Case in point. I got arrested for assault. Me and a friend got in a fight while painting my room. I just took the paintbrush and painted the side of his face. Not much just a dab. Well, then he got mad and started throwing things at me. Cops came and we both were arrested for assault. I don't think that makes us dangerous though.

Escalation might happen after a joke. Thank you for sharing this personal story @caliguy , I picture it as something like this.

here's the complete video but I'm sure most of yinz already know how it ends.

Replace the snow with some paint and pieces of furniture and it's very similar.

I've been meaning to look for the arrest record so I could get a hold of his booking photo. He didn't get a chance to even wash the paint off so I'm sure it's going to be hilarious. Then I'll send it to him for fun. It's been over 10 years so I'm sure he'll get a chuckle out of my handiwork. I think anyways. ;) Lol

I love your sense of humor... as long as there's no paint involved. LOL

By no means thin skinned or opposed to the opinions I asked for, however it becomes tiresome when people go beyond that and imply that I am the proverbial "he without sin" to be casting stones. My post was pretty cut and dry, and it became something very different.

Generalizing about black men from the "hood" troubles me. Maybe I'm being overly PC and naive but it smacks of racial bias.
