I contacted a guy on Scruff once and his response was "I'm an escort baby". My response: "I'm good with that". Now for the rest of the story.....

I was traveling in a midwestern university town where a student contacted me on Grindr and fairly quickly asked if I was generous. We ended up meeting a couple of times and had great experiences.

I've tried this on Grindr and Scruff. Reaching out to the type of guys I'm into (musc jocks) and around my age (mid-20s), seeing if they'd be interested. Most times I just get no response, one time a guy blocked me lol.

i once had the line "if you're hot AF, i'm gen" in my profile for less than an hour. i got "permanently" banned from grindr....for a week.

regardless, one of my fave nyc escorts uses grindr. i contact him there for escorting if i see him on and if i'm available. i realize he's probably looking for his own personal enjoyment and not for work, but so far he has never said no.

I got a positive response out of almost 100 proposal I sent out on Grindr.

100?? Jesus, you’re going to need to do some culling at the rose ceremony in the next episode, otherwise it will take you to 2019 to get to the finale.

That's happened to me a couple of times; once on the old gay.com, once with a guy I was eye-flirting with at the bar. I had the same "I'm good with that" response, and went on to a handful of fun sessions with the gay.com guy (once off the clock, he called me the day after we met and asked "Do you want to do what we did last night again?", I told him I couldn't afford it again that close, and he said "That's fine". Still shaking my head in happy disbelief after that one), and a long friendship with the eye-flirting guy.

I read posts in several different threads that some people have no trouble finding rentguys on Grindr and other apps.

I've tried, with zero luck. Haven't even IDd anyone, yet alone reached arrangement.

Grindr wont allow word generous. Cant use dollar signs. Even my attempt to use a smiley emoji with little $ $ sunglasses was blocked.

What are others doing to ID and hire on the apps?

In Kuala Lumpur at least the the clue is “MB” standing for Money Boy, and many of the best looking young guys so identify. Same on Scruff and Craigslist.

I’ve been using Grindr for at least 5 yrs to find guys looking for generous men and have had all amazing expierences. My latest find is a hot 20yr old with and amazing body with rock hard abs. We’ve been seeing each other twice a week now for almost 2 months and I can honestly say it’s the best BFE I have ever expierenced. I’ve stayed over at his place and got to wake up with him at no extra cost and been out on the town with him for no cost whatsoever. I’d say this is rare but I guess I’m lucky. He went home for the holidays and is still texting me everyday and asking me how I am. Like I said a true BFE

I’ve used Grindr and Scruff for about two years. Neither app really works for me...I believe mostly due to the sort of guy I’m attracted to.

Anyway, fast-forward to to now. I’m currently in Barcelona. Grindr has some listings that are likely for escorts. However, Scruff is full of them. The interesting thing is that Scruff has a category titled “I am open to”. There is an option that one can put in that states “Networking”. I think this is often (although not always) code for “I am available for a price”. Quite ingenious of Scruff to offer this as one of the options.

I have no ice cream cone or sucker emoji on my profile, but I've seen some others do that. My profile has my age, 62, and a photo of me at 62, and my sexual preference. That seems to be enough. Time is also important. I only get solicitations in the evenings and only when I am logged on. Last night I got three unsolicited solicitations. One young man, who has the most naive-sounding, vanilla flavored, almost tentative and uptight profile, but killer looks, initiated a conversation that went like this: Hey. I then read his 22-year-old sounding profile. I suspected that he might be a hidden escort, but on the other hand, his profile genuinely read like a really young novice. I asked what about my profile had drawn his attention. He said my height. 6'2". (Some times they will say that they like older.) I asked him what he studies. P.E. and that he models. Huuuum. I wrote something innocuous, and he responded, What are you looking for. I responded straightforwardly, and he sent nudes. I sent an Uber. Touchdown two hours later. He could be as old as 30, but it was sensational.

Judge refuses to grant bail to ex-model who claimed self-defense after fatal Brooklyn stabbing

BY CHRISTINA CARREGA

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

A Brooklyn judge refused to grant bail Wednesday to a former model who maintains he was acting in self-defense when he fatally stabbed a man he’d met on the online dating app Jack’d.

David Keegan Riotto Haigh, 42, has been jailed on Rikers Island for six months since being charged with stabbing James Johnson to death inside a fourth-floor apartment at the Ingersoll Houses.

“The prosecutors only presented to the bail-fixing court the charges and that Mr. Johnson was stabbed 20 times,” Haigh’s attorney, Thomas H. Andrykovitz, argued Wednesday.

Andrykovitz said bail is justified because Haigh has never veered from his story that he acted in self-defense, telling investigators in a 90-minute videotaped statement soon after the slaying that he felt threatened after Johnson demanded sex.

Haigh and Johnson, 41, met on Jack’d and had spent the weekend of April 9 partying with a group of people the victim also met on the hook-up app.

“My client was in fear for his life and was scared to pull out his phone out to call the police. He texted a friend twice at 5:02 a.m., ‘911, 911’ before the fight that ended in Mr. Johnson’s death,” said Andrykovitz, who obtained the text messages from Haigh’s friend.

Unbeknownst to Haigh, his online lover was under investigation by the NYPDfor criminal sex act charges stemming from a similar attack on a 25-year-old man inside the fourth-floor apartment nine days earlier, according to court documents.

Assistant District Attorney Timothy Gough conceded that Haigh did claim self-defense in a taped statement and was also injured during the attack.

Johnson was stabbed 18 times and had 21 lacerations, the prosecutor said.

Haigh was indicted on second-degree murder and weapons possession charges and faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted.

“When police arrived at the apartment, the door was barricaded and the defendant was sitting on top of the victim...he indicated he was using drugs,” said Gough, who argued against bail for the Philadelphia man who has no ties to the state and is self-employed.

Andrykovitz argued that he’d established a stable New York address: If bail were set, Haigh planned to live in a Brooklyn Heights apartment owned by Marc Carpentier, a former assistant budget commissioner for the Department of Correction and a longtime friend of Haigh.

The judge denied the attorney’s request, noting that the grand jury heard his client’s claims of self-defense and still indicted Haigh for intentional murder charges.

Haigh is expected back in court on Dec. 1.

Wow. This Haigh guy sounds like a complete Psycho. With his prior it should be a slam dunk case.

I spent all of this summer travelling the east coast (staying in NYC, Boston mainly). Sometimes when I was out I’d have “Gen4Hung” on my Grindr headline. Considering I was in these cities for about 3 months, I got some replies but not many.

Back here locally at home I’ve encountered 4 known RM escorts. 3 of them actually quoted me a rate much lower than their RM fee.

This year in Las Vegas, three times Spring through Summer.

Grindr, and to lesser extent Scruff, lots o' Rentguys. So much so that, in September, I was cross-referencing Grindr guys seeking gen or dad with RM. Many guys seem to be cross-advertising between the platforms.

I dont bother with the apps back home in suburbia... not for rentguys, not for hookups, not for meets or chats.

I think there are alot of fakes though too. I responded to a couple of ads and they wanted funds transferred to PayPalbefore confirming. I dont think so.

Flakes everywhere but at least if you hire from RM and something goes wrong... they have his name, CC, etc.
