For him to get 19 months on a single pill, he must have had a few priors. So yeah, sounds like they're just busting him on the probation violation rather than going after him for prostitution. I think they're showing some discretion there.

I agree. Going to jail over an Ambien tablet isn’t likely unless he has two or three priors relating to controlled substances. But for one tablet and no previous possession or related convictions, it just doesn’t add up. In most states, that’s not even close to possessing the amount that could get you arrested on a first offense.

Whatever the exact circumstances, it’s an unfortunate situation to be in.

The details are none of my business, but clearly some are missing here. Photographers borrow/loan Ambien and Xanax all the time to get sleep on long flights. Most don't have their own prescription because they don't have a constant need for the medication.

Jailing Jeremy Walker seems like a complete waste of taxpayer money. The laws on escorting, drugs, and prison all need to be reformed. Conservatives hate these issues, so don't expect much change anytime soon.

I don't know Mr. Walker, but I do know other escorts who do the exact same thing he was doing with their probation violations, as if it were no thing at all. I was amazed how much of a non-issue they treated it as. That kind of thing would cause me to get an ulcer! Also, while I felt horrible for JW... I couldn't help feeling mortified for his clients who had their information extracted from his cellphone and the repercussions that they may have faced if (like in my state of Texas) there was an AG or DA like Ken Paxton in the friend of the grudge holder's spot. Scary and sad stuff for all involved.

On the lighter side, yes, JW is handling it very well and I did get his joke. Apparently, his probation officer has a sense of humor as well and may not be too mad even if she read that.

In the future,I would probably hire JW... but I would kindly ask him to delete all records of me as soon as our session was over from his cell:rolleyes:

He was on probation for that, the escorting led to the other

As one previous poster said, the story doesn't add up. Having a single tablet of ambien isn't going to result in prison time. It's not worth the time of the police or any prosecutor. Clearly there was something more there. And it's that something more that landed JW in prison and on probation. He violated his probation after being warned. I think his PO was being very reasonable. Nothing else she could really do when JW blatantly violated parole.

I think there's also a lesson here for clients. It sounds like JW kept client information on his phone. Now that information is in the hands of the police. Not good for him and not good for his clients. Both escorts and clients should disclose as little of their PII as possible.

let's keep this about Jeremy and not about drug policy and prison reform, please.....thanks

Hold on... this is why it happened to him and it could happen to us just by using a sleep aid and getting caught on a technicality... besides if you want to object when folks step out of the subject you have other cases.

No it couldn't. No one is going to be arrested and sent to jail because they have one ambien tablet and can't show a prescription for it.

No his history and misbehavior of traveling put him there. You made a comment to the effect that any one of us could go to jail because of one pill. Love ya Marylander but that's simply not true.

The jail industrial complex is out there and searching.

Btw I almost hired him but when I found out Duncan Black was in MSP I cancelled on Jeremy...

Continuing to engage in behavior and additional violations of law that could end up biting him in the ass - as it clearly did - demonstrates that, while he may be a nice guy, he is seriously lacking in the personal judgment department.

Experience is often the best teacher. Let's hope he is an adept pupil...

Let's be honest, a lot of the guys in this line of work are surprisingly bright, but a lot more of them are... not exactly the sharpest tools in the shed, as anyone who reads the Adonis Lounge weekly emails can see. Doesn't mean they're evil. Just not the best at evaluating risk.

Perhaps the internet savvy on this forum should uncover Jeremy Walker's attacker-- sweet Jesus, the whole world would collapse if every little personal issue would be laid bare. I wish Jeremy well and hope he is able to see his way through the troubles. Brian Kevin has met his match in the drama department with Jeremy's recent issues.

Peace,

Kipp
