Do!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure you will easily fill your dance card. I love a highland fling or a chacha personally.

I'm more adept at Strip the Willow and the Gay Gordons, but I'll do my best.

Don't know those. But I follow instructions perfectly. Do you give lessons?

I certainly can, though they require a crowd. They are very simple dances, probably to ensure that drunken attendees at cèilidhs are still able to perform.

You provide the lessons. We will provide the crowd! Strip the willow sounds appropriate.

Well guys Oliver is about to begin his annual trek from the cold to the warmth of Palm Springs. We will, I'm sure, be hearing from him in the near future regarding definite plans for the "Weekend". Dates are established and posted (April 22 and 23) and I sincerely hope many of you have already arranged transportation and lodging. Hopefully this year will continue the tend of always bigger and better. I'm looking forward to seeing many old friends and making many new ones. I'm already in the process of planning the menu for Oliver's Pool Party.

I would be very interested in attending my first PS weekend, but I will probably have to decide closer to the weekend (if my work/school/finances allow such a trip...)

However, if anyone is looking for an overnight / weekend date, feel free to PM me.

It would definitely push me towards going...

Hi E. Is there a way that it will be possible to have a final count of how many might actually show up or do you usually just play it by ear?

I've been booked since @Epigonos and I met and had lunch months ago!! Great lunch, I booked, now don't let me chicken out!

A few things changed since my first post in this thread, #68.

First, I got my email address wrong, and I apologize about that. It's corymonroe dot nyc at gmail dot com.

I was able to secure a plane ticket with miles, so that helps a lot with the budget. I probably won't need a roommate after all, and I know it's not easy to find a compatible travel partner under the best of circumstances. If I could find the right guy, I'm open to sharing the experience.

Car rental rates are outrageous at the moment. I have a car reserved for the week, but it's $100 more than I wish to pay. I'm hoping the price will drop as the dates get closer.

A lot of middle-income guys I've talked to aren't spending too freely these days. Many of us are worried about the future of our health care, and things are looking very unpredictable at this time.

This is rather more civilised than normal, but the steps are correct.

If you watch the video regarding the dance I think you can have a good chuckle (tho some of its explanation was hard for me to understand). There is a sentence that states that the dancers "take a controlled hand grip for safety as well as elegance since this dance . . . can be boisterous leading to injury."

Hi TruthBTold,

Take my word for it in planning for the “Weekend” Oliver leaves NOTHING to chance and plays NOTHING by ear. I’m sure Oliver will start his specific posts regarding the “Weekend” next month (February).

The year I attended there were about 50 people at the dinner and about 30 at the pool party. Some attended both, some one or the other.

I had a great time and one of my regrets about last year was not being able to attend. Not quite as bad as almost dying, but it was up there in the top 5 of bad things for the year.

Wayne and I will definitely be there. We've already got our room booked at Canyon Club! This will be our 5th year in a row attending. We wouldn't miss it!

Hey V-Vhitner don't be embarrassed to acknowledge that that this is all very new to you -- we were all right there with you once. Read back over this thread and if after you have done so feel free to PM me and I'll attempt to answer answer your questions and concerns.

I will continue to bump this threat back to the first page of this forum until Oliver arrives in Palm Springs. At that time he will take over and the Palm Springs Weekend thread will be permanently placed at the top of this forum.

Guys keep making definite plans including transportation and hotel reservations. The more the merrier.

Sorry about that Rob. Leave it to you to catch it. Hope all is well with you and I'm seriously looking forward to seeing you two during the Weekend.

I would love to see a frequently updated list of clients and escorts who are hoping to attend. It might encourage others to come and clients could make plans with the escorts in advance. However, I don't want to make work for Oliver. Perhaps a new thread titled "See You in Palm Springs" where we just post our intentions and dates only, with all discussion and questions limited to the current "It's Not Too Soon to Book" thread.

I do not post who is attending for confidentiality reasons. However, everyone is free to let others know they will be attending, especially escorts!

Bump!!!!! I leave Southern California on Friday to join Oliver on his road trip from the cold country to sunny (hopefully) Palm Springs.

I hope you are not planning to bump Shadow from his seat.
