Escorts, if you advertise on Rentmen, how likely are you to see (or miss) an email query (through their "contact me" button) from a potential client? I ask because I politely tried that approach with an EXTREMELY well reviewed escort on this site and was surprised to get no response at all. Now I don't know if he may have missed the email or just isn't interested. I'm tempted to try other means of contact, but I don't want to come off as a stalker. My question was just a simple query about availability, and if the answer is 'no', Miss Manners says the polite thing to do is to just say so and not leave one hanging. I get enough of that in the world of job hunting!

Kurtis might be able to give us the 'science' on this cause the boy is so damn computer smart, but I think if the rentmen system indicates that the mail was opened there is a good chance that it really was.

Maybe you didn't purchase the escort something from his Amazon wish list so he didn't think you were a serious enough client to answer your email inquiry

Don't be shy! Two request/messages wouldn't reach the level of stalking. Your desired escort is a businessman who is advertising a service; he expects to be contacted. Is he reviewed on this site? If so, is there a telephone number or different email on his review page? Can you contact him through a private conversation here on the Forum? Good luck!

My email alerts from rentmen go to my junk folder, and nothing I've tried will change that. I do however get a text alert when I have a new message and I check my rentmen account several times a day. If he has a # listed send him a text, he might have missed the message.

People overlook emails all the time. Just resend the email and don't read too much into it.

I think Mike is on the right track. Professionals found here and on Rent Men likely have multiple email addys, phones, etc etc

It is too easy to miss a text, email, phone call or tweet

I sent two escorts inquiry e-mails via RM lately and neither responded. I'm not sure whether they didn't see them, or perhaps I wrote too much or too little. I usually describe myself a little and say what I'm looking for. I try to sound honest, direct, and respectful. Is that a bad idea? What does an escort look for in e-mails from clients they don't know?

Did you try calling him?

Yes. I recently contacted someone through RM and they did reply, but I would have never known that if I didn't check my junk mail folder. That's what made me wonder if the same thing happens when escorts are contacted thru the site. And apparently it does.

If you use gmail on a computer as opposed to a mobile device there is an add-on called "Streak" (free and easy to apply to all of you emails.)

It will let you know when your sent emails are opened and when! Don't ever have to wonder if they are received or not. This has saved me from seeming like a stalker many a time!

In addition to all of the comments about the RM email service I'd like to add that I've had numerous unsolicited emails from escorts asking if I'm interested in meeting up. This routinely happens after I've viewed their ads. I'm sure there is some profile setting to stop that from happening but I'm too technically challenged to figure it out. Of course, those email always find themselves into my inbox instead of my trash bin. Funny how that works. :p:p:p

@Beancounter If you turn off email then you may miss a real message from an escort you want to hear from. The solution may be to hide your visits to their profiles. PM me if you want more info.

A couple of escorts have told me that the RM email function is sketchy and they've given me an alternate email to use.

I am not a registered user on Rentmen. If I contact an escort through the rentmen email, can he see the IP address of my computer? In addition, if I view their profile, could the advertiser/escort trace it to my computer? I am wondering how discreet/confidential this site really is.
