Thank you Seaboy, I wholeheartedly agree, even if you said it tongue in cheek.... This is another thing I always had issue with, people hijacking threads to deflect from topics THEY dont want to discuss. If a thread is one which you have no interest in, move on, or start a thread of your own, but leave the original thread, and its intention in tact. Have some respect for the OP

No really, I want pizza. But instead I had salmon and rice :(

Hugs,

Greg

I thought it always cleared up ambiguity by using it although I mainly used it because it looked prettier:p

Really Tigger, You use it because it looks 'prettier'? I love you. That's the best reason to use anything...... It's just prettier.

Could you step a little closer and repeat that, please? I couldn't quite make (it) out, get it 'make out'!!!

I slay me sometimes!!:p

But really all kissing, I mean kidding aside, do come closer and repeat it.

Stepping closer...........Face to face, young man.......I love you. How could I not, when your determination to use a comma is because it's prettier.

Ooh la la!! I can barely wait for you to step closer!! You're my kind of man...

IMHO its the feuds that get people to participate. you will often find a name you have never seen before appear with an opinion when a feud erupts. It makes the site interesting, and yes a bit volatile. Sorta like attempting a Trump rally.... Otherwise, much of the time, watching paint dry can be more entertaining than this site. If you notice, all of the people that say they "don't like the drama and the feuding" are smack in the middle of it with THAT comment alone. If they really didn't like the drama, they would simply ignore the thread and not contribute ANYTHING to it. But I suppose its their way of having their say and NOT having any fingers pointed at them. Fear of reprisal here from members certainly takes its toll on participation. And if you are going to participate, name names and events, and don't just cast aspersions or allude to the facts.

Facts are facts, and surely are relevant to an open, honest dialog. Making a comment like "I don't want to name names" is certainly more inflammatory than naming the damn name. If you want to be Switzerland, stay across the continenent. If you want to participate, do so in a way that is evident, decipherable and honest.

Controversy can get people off their butts and in front of their computers (or tablets). Controversy helped raised money for the Rentboy defendants (as opposed to the Rentboy/Jeffrey Hurant legal defense fund). And in a perfect world, we'd name names in public and let 'er rip.

But the purpose of not pointing fingers, at least in my case (and you seem to be quoting directly from me) is because the thing that angered me and made me feel like my presence in Palm Springs would be unwelcome, after everyone closest to the situation (which this person is not) had been generous and welcoming, is a moot point now. Bringing up names will only send people back to the thread and revive it, which is the opposite of what I want.

Sometimes not naming names is a way not to make it personal. Sometimes not naming names is a way to let a thread or a discussion die a natural death and not escalate it.

My only excuse...and not to make excuses, even though I am, my degrees are in mathematics. Hence English/grammar was never my strong point. But I envy/respect intellectual people like you.

I've been mistaken for an actuary. Does that help?

Found in a dusty, oak box hidden within the walls of Westminster Abbey - a collection of Chaucer's letters including a draft of the Tale of Brian of Vegas, the story of the young pilgrim travelling to Daytonashire:

Nuts are brown

Skirts go up

Pants go down

Body to body Skin to skin

When its stiff

Stick it in

The Longer its in

The Stronger it gets

It goes in dry And comes out wet

It comes out dripping And starts to sag

Its not what you think......

Its a Teabag

Of course, Mr. Chaucer wrote some pretty hot stuff himself, like the Miller's Tale, at the end of which the clerk who was sleeping with the miller's wife kissed the bare ass of the clerk who wanted to sleep with the miller's wife as he stuck it out of a window thinking he was offering it to the wife. Then there's Boccaccio's Decameron, which includes stories about an Italian couple happily witnessing their teenaged daughter coupling with (I think) the boy next door because it meant they'd be able to get her married off and about the young woman who enjoyed putting the devil back in hell (i.e., fucking) with a priest who'd conned her into thinking it was a religious act that she tired him out and he found someone to marry her off to. Once they understood the situation, her female friends assured her that her husband-to-be will be happy to put the devil back in hell (i.e., fuck the shit out of her) also.

The idea that the medieval period -- or any period, really, other than the Victorian period and the period between the end of WWII and the mid-60s -- was pious as we understand that term and prim is ahistorical nonsense. The medieval period was, if anything, probably far earthier.

It's quite shocking but Spanish Gentleman doesn't like human food, except for butter.

Hugs,

Greg

I've known cats like that too.

JJK surprised you decided to return. You were correct that this forum did not need you to create havoc, that there was plenty without you. Hopefully, your intentions are not to ignite glowing embers but to add to a reasonable discourse.

As for threads going and the decision to take them down. I read the involved threads. They did not show any of the posters at their best and while they may have clarified some of the ongoing events, ultimately, to my mind, we as a community, are better off with them gone. Not all information advances the forum.

As for keeping private interactions private, sometimes you need to lance an abscess to clear it out, When you do, if there is enough pressure, the pus can get you in the eye.

As to the Oxford comma, in the above sentence, I have used the old man comma. The old man comma results from mishitting a sentence ending period and winding up with a sentence ending comma.

PK, firstly I am not BACK, nor here to fan any embers, so the members of the Old guard here who know me do not have to be worried nor start planning to have me bannished, AGAIN !. I am merely commenting on a situation because it is so absurd. Obviously drama finds its way even without ME involved.

Secondly, you and I have always belonged to diff schools of thought. I am not interested in seeing "people at their best". I am interested in seeing people for who they really are, flaws and all, so that I know who and what I am actually dealing with. I take issue with people that present a false front. Tells me they are hiding something. With that said, I know this site is for escorts and their admirers, but that doesnt mean any of these individuals need to be protected. Respected Yes, protected no.... EOY is merely a title and should not imply an individual is without flaws . If flaws exist, I prefer to see them... Much of my problems here during my tenure were that I always advocated Transparency, while those in charge and many of their followers wanted to "orchestrate" the proceedings.... You always know the moment when it is time for you to leave. I have never been an "if you cant beat em, Join em" kinda girl.... Being told what my opinion SHOULD be is not something I wanted to lie down and swallow... I am not certain what you propose "advances this forum" either. ? In over 2+ years I have kept an open eye and havent seen much advancement, merely sustanance. Perhaps there can be some happy medium ??? Good to see you are still here.

Ladies and gentlemen, I don't know why some of you are confused about this thread. It's very straight forward. Let me summarize... .

It started with a little discord and drama, then we went into a happy place, then we detoured into Oxford commas, punctuation (a natural detour), more apologies about being alive and someone overdosing on makeup. Michael Jackson danced his way in. Then a message from our sponsor, more guilt, something about middle school girls (have no clue where that came from), the cast of Dynasty joined in. A couple bears wanted in, commas were finally straightened out by the resident genius, even someone likes 'pretty' commas ( how sweet is that). Then we swerved into Manatees and spiders (huge spiders, I might add), and Beethoven made a quick appearance. There was some kissy, kissy and of course pizza was introduced (we all know who that was. haha). Kittens and salmon slipped in...not sure who was eating who. President Bush and Chaucer are waiting in the wings... stage right, of course.

See???? Just your basic thread.

LOL! Well that's why I added the qualification "... safe, so far that is"! ;) Also, if you hear any drums in the distance don't automatically assume that they are of the ceremonial variety! :)

But is that realistic in a forum such as this? This a forum that exists to discuss people and behavior that could be considered a grey area of legality. I know I’m not willing to present a totally true picture of who I really am - and all my flaws.

So I'll be upfront and state that I do present a “false front” to a certain extent. I don’t know for certain, but I suspect that's true for most anyone who posts on this forum.

I think it's unlikely your search for “knowing who and what (you) are actually dealing with” will be successful.

...while those in charge and many of their followers wanted to "orchestrate" the proceedings.....

That will likely always be the case. This site is not an Athenian democracy. It’s more like a military organization within a democracy. There is a General. We are fortunate the General allows us a significant amount of latitude and encouragement in discussions. But there is a General at the top with final say. So there will be an orchestration of the proceedings. I don’t see that as a bad thing. Leadership is a good thing.

We're also fortunate that we were not drafted to come here. We have the ultimate freedom of being able to leave anytime we so chose. I choose to stay for now. I hope even more join us.

I come to this site to learn and contribute where I think I can. I enjoy the vast majority of the conversations that I check out. I think the site performs a valuable service to both clients and escorts. I hope Daddy (or Guy Fawkes) will continue to put up with our moments of BS for the greater good of the community.

I have arrived late at the discussion of the Oxford comma, Guy Fawkes and other topics. So I will only say that I do not use the final serial comma except for clarity, such as when commenting on the greatest Presidents, George W. Bush, and Herbert Hoover.

One is reminded of Sir Winston's response to chiding about use of the phrase "put up with" which he corrected by saying "that is something up with which I shall not put."

Your points are all acknowledged and well received, and I do agree with you somewhat. I am not that naïve to think or expect that any site will change to accommodate ME. I know where the door is, and when to use it, and have done so. You can only know what people show you, and I would hope people would be honest and truthful, for those are the people that I would prefer to bond with. Leadership for me is something that should benefit ALL parties, not just the leaders, and IMO that is not the case here. But of course while I am only a guest in someone else's house, I will play nice while here, while also stating that playing nice should not be equated as "acceptance" or "approval"....

If maintaining some sort of anonymity works for you N2R, then by all means you should travel that path. I was simply stating or perhaps overstating MY personal preferences for behavior. .
