Stuck in Snow...what's you doing?

Wondering what everyone is up to with the storm. Me...Well am in VA and it could be a lot worse as being back up in NYC and having to shovel 20 inches of snow. So it isn't really to bad here on the coast not really any snow per say but it is cold rainy and just not a nice day. Soooo I am currently lying in bed with my wool blankie and yes my cup of hot chocolate (yes with whipped cream...got to have my whipped cream ) reading...you guessed it...a stupid Gay Romance Novel...and watching the miserable weather outside. Not perfect but life could be a lot worse.

Atlanta is slowly coming to life after an outrageous snowfall, somewhere between a dusting and a trace fell last night and this morning. It was fun to watch in my box up in the sky, sipping on my morning joe.

I'm in Charlotte, NC this weekend for fun and business early in the week. Lots of snow here. And for fun, we built a snow man in the backyard with my friend's children. It honestly looks more like the blob. The snow angels were a blast, but the best part Was putting on my sweat pants and Tshirt...my friend had them warming up in the dryer waiting for all us to come back in. Ahhhhhh.....The simple things.

About to cook myself a mushroom steak and olive omelet, make a cup of coffee with lots of cream, and finish watching American Horror Story season 4. I have a snow blower I'm waiting to use.

Woke up early to go to work. Took a steam and then a nice hot shower. Got dressed and got a text that the office was closed. I tried to let the dogs out but they took one look at the snow and turned around. I expect to be picking up dog poop for the rest of the day. Still, a day of picking up dog poop at home is better than a day at work. Just like there is not bad sex, only degrees of good, there is no bad day off, only variations of good.

Now I am drinking coffer, vanilla carmel and anticipating watching some porn. I am not a big porn watcher, but this seems like the perfect day for it since I cannot be in a hotel in Seatac awaiting the arrival of Mr. Gaite.

It's barely snowing here in Philadelphia. I would love to go outside, but there is no public transportation. Even Starbucks is closed. There's snow to like, but not an overwhelming amount. Sadly, I am sure the heavy snow will return, or the weather people have some 'splaining

No snow here in San Diego, but we are supposed to get a lot of rain. I will be driving to LA in it.

 

Although big snows are always big pains in the ass, I always enjoyed the hour or so after a big Chicago snowfall before everyone started going about their business and digging out. So peaceful. It is rare to have a peaceful moment in a huge city.

Out with the dog this morning at 8:30 - the sun was shining but, like Z-man, I had to put the long sleeves on. It's now a bit overcast and in the 60's but no rain, no snow, no sleet, no hail. Getting ready to do a little strolling around to the bank and then to my local Coffee Bean for a latte, then home and cuddle with my dog - he's so depressed he lost his sister last month. All the bounce is gone but he does still wag that tail when I come home.
