To follow up with Smart Ass I just got home, had a delicious salad from Wendy's, just put a load of wash in and posted a computer question in the lounge. Why I am doing all of this? Ricky Martin beckons me to drink from the cup of life.

Now, as far as condoms go, I don't wear them to be sucked and I prefer to suck without them. However, I give such good head it doesn't matter - I will make anyone feel good through copper.

I've never used a condom for oral sex, whether giving or receiving. Several reasons for this. First and foremost, oral sex is VERY low risk for things like HIV. For other STD's, it's a bit higher risk than that, but overall, I'm comfortable with the quite low level of risk and believe that aside from things like kissing, it's the safest thing you can do. Secondly, I hate both the taste and feel of condoms, and on the receiving end sensitivity isn't quite as good. Even flavored ones just don't come off as natural to me... (But I don't even like cologne particularly...with the exception of light deoderant and soap, etc., I quite prefer someone's natural taste and scent.)

Now, I would use a condom in either role if it was specifically requested by the person I was with, but aside from that, I don't really feel it's much benefit, and while it doesn't ruin the experience, I think an experience is enhanced without them without adding any substantial risk. (Anal sex is of course another story, and I ALWAYS insist on a condom for that.)

Ricky Martin wanted head?

Wendy's makes salads?

I have worn condoms when getting heads a very few times, at the request of my partners, in one instance, at the request of a client. I have never felt the need to require a condom on anyone, client or otherwise, when I went down on them and have never used one. However, if someone asked me to use a condom while going down on them, I probably would not be thrilled about it (mainly due to the taste sensation) but likely would not object to the request.

This is where the rubber hits the road... not the tonsils. ;)

Under usual circumstances my mouth is a latex free zone and his better be too. :p

What's next? Kissing through a plate glass window? :*

Penultimate safe sex ---> two bubble boys getting it on. Hardly erotic or even stimulating except maybe for the latex/PVC crowd. Why bother? More pointedly, why pay to bother? x(

I read somewhere that the risk of getting HIV from sucking without a condom is similar to that of getting fucked with a condom. The risk is low, but certainly not zero. It's always difficult to tell in an escort situation, but it probably would be safest not to get fucked with a condom or to suck someone off who had uncontrolled HIV disease (i.e. high titers). Whether you would suck or get fucked by a stranger depends on your risk tolerance...

I've heard the same about risk (anal sex with a condom and oral sex without is about equivalent risk as far as HIV).

The tricky thing here is, a good rule of thumb I keep hearing is assuming all people you have sex with are HIV positive unless you know for SURE. Now, this is a rule of thumb I can't say I necessarily follow. I do always consider the possibility, but I generally assume they are clean (and I try to breach the subject usually).

I admit this has its problems, and I certainly always play safe as I consider safe to be (discussed previously), but...I have to say I'm not sure what I'd do differently if I knew for a fact someone was HIV positive. I'd love to say I'd still have protected anal sex and unprotected oral and feel secure in that, but honestly I'm not sure I can say that. (I'd probably feel better about the protected anal sex than the oral though believe it or not.)

Just some thoughts. Just being honest here, and didn't mean to take things too off subject, but hopefully it is relevant. lol.

Guptasa, I have felt the same the same conflict of thoughts you describe regarding what I would be willing to do with someone I knew was HIV positive, even though I try to regard anyone I have sex with as potentially poz. I would never bottom bareback for anyone, but intoducing the knowledge that a potential partner is HIV positive makes me doubt that I would bottom for him at all. It's inconsistent I know and I've never had the situation arise . . . but I do think about it. I guess I'm able to keep my head in the sand, so to speak, and regard ignorance as bliss!

Regarding the subject of this thread, I have no interest in sucking a dick covered by a condom and would decline the opportunity. Would I wear one if requested by someone who was about to suck me? Probably . . . once.
