Depends on the guy, but a general rule of thumb is that it's 50 euro for 30 minutes and then whatever activity you agreed upon.

btw - Thermas is better than ever.  Something for everyone, very clean facility, polite staff & completely safe. No drag shows or other distractions.  Majority of guys are Brazilian, Venezuelan, Colombian & Dominican.  All things considered, it’s way better than Lagoa or any of the Rio saunas.  

Glad to hear 50 Euros is still the going rate for 30 minutes in 2024.  Just 4.5 months until I visit Thermas for my first time!

I hadn't really read this thread much since I doubt I'll ever return to Barcelona (been there 3 or 4 times).  But reading about Thermas brought back enough memories that it made me look at my old trip notes to see when I would have been there.  1998, yikes!  I want to say I hired a guy for the equivalent of about $20.  It actually took me about an hour to realize it was a 'for hire' place, LOL.

as a suggestion, chat up your potential hire at the bar & buy him a drink. use the time at the bar to do all the small talk, negotiate exactly what you want & whatever else you need to check before committing.  
this is typical & makes your time in the cabin more efficient - when you get into the cabin, you can get right to it & maximize the time. the bar is on the lowest floor.

i would not hire someone on the other floors & go directly to a room without a conversation at the bar.  most will welcome the drink, give you better service & the bar has better lighting.

as mentioned previously, it’s been my experience that the best guys (most in demand) do not approach clients aggressively.  the agressive guys are the ones to avoid. All are easily approachable - don’t be shy during prime time or you might not get your preferred guys.

some Thermas tips 

1. go early - before it gets crowded.  Thermas is big and spread across 3 floors - it can be disorienting to arrive when filed with providers & clients. Plus - it’s competitive & the locals/regulars will always go for their favorites who are usually the most in-demand. Arriving when it’s crowded puts you at a disadvantage. I like to arrive at opening about 3p and watch as providers/ clients arrive. 

2. get familiar with the layout - because it is confusing.  I’d recommend a complete walk-through of the entire place at least once to take note of spa facilities & bar (first floor), all showers (first & second floors).  And the one private bathroom on first floor with a douche - the key to that bathroom is at reception and depending on the attendant, they may require you buy an attachment or if you have your own, then a tip to get the key.  Return the key asap as there may be others waiting.

3. there will always be guys hanging around the reception area & watching the clients locker room.  the game is to snag clients in that area & before they can see the other providers.  don’t fall for it.

4. like anywhere else - be cautious if anyone offers you anything to ingest. last time I was there, a provider offered candy between sessions - upon inspection it was potent edible marijuana. there are a couple guys there routinely selling things - I’d avoid them & whatever they have.  they are obvious & likely will make an approach at some point. 

5. the free cabins are fine for 30 minutes & the staff cleans continuously- but that doesn’t mean you’ll always get a fresh cabin.  If you want to make sure it’s clean - then private rooms. Again - getting there early ensures access to private rooms - when it’s crowded you may wait and sometimes they don’t open up at all. 

6. you dont need ID to get in - leave passports & valuables in your hotel safe.  I carry a set amount of cash, one credit card & phone.  I don’t leave those items in the locker - I carry them with me in a small pack at all times.  you need cash for the guys - everything else can be on credit card.

7. bring your own condoms & lube.  the condoms provided are the most basic & the lube is almost nonexistent.  the guys appreciate good quality condoms & it makes a big difference.  I like to bring my own antibacterial soap along too - just to be extra careful between sessions.  availability of soap in the showers is not a sure thing.

8. if smoking bothers you - avoid the area on the second floor where smokers congregate.  for people who smoke, it’s ideal place to engage the guys in a more relaxed environment.

9. don’t be afraid to say no.  you will be approached many times by guys who may not be your type.  there’s not pressure per se, but they are direct and don’t want to waste time.  they are used to no & it’s just part of the environment.  polite & firm gets the message across.  

10. you will pay for everything at the end & check your final bill carefully.  if buying drinks for providers, make sure you are clear at that time what you’re offering. an offer for a drink can easily turn into a full meal - and that’s fine if that is what you’re offering.  if spending a few hours there, the charges can add up quickly. 

11. don’t be afraid to tell the provider exactly what you want - they’re professionals and have seen it all, several times.  no reason to be embarrassed.  If there is a language barrier - use google translate or show them a video of the type of scene you want. a video is easiest way to get the clear message across & I’ve seen several clients do it.

I shared this in the other Barcelona thread but it seems this thread is the one where all info is kept. Here's my info on sauna Thermas:

You pay the entree fee, get a key with a locker number and go change. Once you are changed you go down the stairs where the working boys will be waiting or wandering around, and on the bottom most level there's a pool and bar. Some providers will approach you, some won't. If you see someone you like just say "Hey" to them and they will most likely lead the conversation.

Clearly state what you want to happen (suck their dick, have them suck you, get fucked, fuck them, kiss or not,...) and confirm these are things he offers or not (all providers have different limits and things they offer). The standard is 50 euro for one session, no matter what the activity (usually, with some exceptions noted later on), excluding the provider's ejaculation (if you want them to ejaculate, tell them as it's extra money, usually 50 euro extra). There are "strict" tops who sometimes propose to let you fuck them for double the money (so 100 instead of 50 euro for 1 session. I suggest to not do this as they are often not good at bottoming and to search for a true versatile or bottom provider).

If kissing is important to you, ask them to demonstrate to you how they kiss during the conversation. It's forward, yes, but a good kisser will happily oblige and it can save you from disappointment as I've had providers give halfhearted pecks once the session started (when I didn't ask them to show me before). 

A session lasts around 20 to 30 minutes (but you as the client should keep track. Most providers will make the session shorter if you don't). The rule of thumb is that it's 50 euro per 30 minutes. So if you were to engage a provider for one hour, it's expected you pay him 100 euro. But always confirm price and duration before starting the session. Some will (jokingly) ask for a tip beforehand, which I always politely decline. 

Once you've agreed on everything, it's time to start the session. For this you have 2 options. There are free cabins on the first basement, they have a fixed bench with thin mattresses on them. Some clients find them uncomfortable, for me they work fine. I suggest using the cabins on the left of the stairs (when facing with your back to the stairs) as these have better lighting in them and there are larger cabins. Just ask the provider to get you a larger cabin and they will look for it. Most of the time the larger cabins are in use by providers who are on break (smoking and chatting). 

You can also pay for a room. This is always by the hour and they come at various prices, depending on the size. All rooms have a full bed in them with linen and towels so the more expensive ones are simply larger. The comfort remains the same. The price list for the rooms is visible at the entry. 

After you are done with the session some providers will take a shower with you, some won't. Then you both go the top floor (street level) where the lockers are. You then get the money from your locker. The provider will be waiting for you in the bathroom next to the entrance (you can't miss it, it will be very clear where it is) and you give them the money there. I don't know why that is the spot but it's been that spot for as long as I've gone there. 

The providers don't mind it if you have your phone with you (I use it for Google translate).

If you had a great time with a provider, I suggest you buy them a drink at the bar (if they're not otherwhise engaged with another client). I find it nice chatting to the guys and getting to know them.

I totally understand one might be nervous going for the first time, but I've found that most everyone there (from the staff to the providers) are friendly and want to help you relax because happy, relaxed clients spend more money 😉

Ideal times to go are any day between 4pm and 8pm. The busiest days (with the largest number of providers, but also the most clients) are (usually) Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, same time (4pm till 8pm). Outside these hours there will rarely be providers in the sauna.

I was there recently in May on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The Thursday was by far the quietest (maybe about 8 boys?) with Wednesday at 4pm being packed. Friday started getting busy around 5pm.

Seems like the weekdays are slow except Wednesdays.

He doesn’t work there regularly anymore - he’s on RM & seems to be mainly in BCN, but travels in Europe too.  There’s been major turnover at Thermas post Covid and many long-time guys moved on.

I saw him earlier this year - still very handsome & seems a bit more mellowed out

the last time i was there (pre-covid) there were a number of muscley guys from Romania who would get hard-on's to block you walking by without touching. Sometimes i can deal with "aggressive".

I was just in Barcelona and I can attest to all these comments. Saunas Thermas was pretty spectacular. If you are looking to hire this is the place to go. I had four guys in one afternoon and, if I had known better, I would have brought more money because there were so many hot guys I couldn’t get enough of. I had a tall Brazilian guy who was really well endowed, a young Colombian kid who was petite but a bunny in bed, a Spaniard from the south who is an excellent bottom (he also advertises on RM so this was a much cheaper way to hire him) and my favorite a tall blonde Austrian guy that was out of a Abercrombie and Fitch wet dream. I didn’t even negotiate. It feels that is a universally understood. When the time was up we went up to the main floor where the changing rooms were and they waited in the bathroom by the entrance while I went to get the money and that’s where you hand them the money. It seems that’s a system as everybody else was doing it that way. I liked that it was understood that it was €50 for 30 mins so you remove the awkward factor of negotiations.

And in my case yes, cash only. Not sure if they would also take Venmo but it seems that it’s a cash only business so come with lots of €50s. I wish I had brought a couple more. True. In Spain is Bizum but you need a Spanish phone number. Not sure if you can PayPal in Spain but I assume these guys only want cash
