Whilst I was reading one of the many wonderful reviews of David-sf on this site, I came across the news that he's launched a new website, themaleadventure.com, dedicated to organizing all sorts of vacations with clients. As someone who loves to travel I must say that I am intrigued. Has anyone been on medium to long vacations with an escort to some far away or exotic destination? I'm certainly not talking about a weekend hire or a short break. If so, what should one expect? Would you recommend it? Are there any specific escorts out there who shine more than others on such vacations? Any tips, recommendations and/or pointers?

This has been discussed several times. Rule #1 for me is don't go on an extended trip with someone you've never met. At least an hour meeting up front, and preferably an overnight is a minimum requirement. Rule #2 is take a break from each other once a day. You are not glued together. Give him some gym and email time, and some for yourself too. He may not take it, but at least offer. Rule #3 Ask him if there is something he would particularly like to go see/do upfront and then schedule it - either for him alone or preferably for both of you. You may find out something entirely new to you that you really like afterall.

I used to travel by myself all the time. Over the last 10 years I taken numerous trips with guys from 4 nights up to two weeks. Now I seldom go alone, although it is an expensive indulgence.

Thank you ted! Great advice.

I completely agree with Ted on Rule #1. I would not consider doing a vacation with a paid companion unless I had already spent time with him in advance. It's vitally important to be sure that you are compatible in the bedroom and also out of the bedroom.

What should you expect to pay the escort for his service?, Given you will be picking up all expenses ie travel, room, food, entertainment.

It is all negotiable. Some of the more savvy guys have rates established, others do not. I also would advise one to give a guy several meetings before booking a long trip together, or even try a weekend first. You learn a lot about another person when you spend a week or two together that you may not have noticed before (both good and maybe not so good).

Very good advice except where David is involved. If you have a chance to travel with him grab him as fast as you can.

The fee for a long extended travel engagement can be all over the planet. Its definitely something that you will have to ask for a quote and/or possibly negotiate (gasp!) over. Depending on where you are going and how much an interest your travel companion has to travel there you may be able to come to an agreement that works nicely for the both of you. You may, also, have to check with several escorts before you find one on the same page as you.

You can NOT consider the picking up of the escorts expenses for taking this trip with you as a substitute for his fee.

I will caution you about an engagement like this. Be very careful in both who you select to share your adventure with and that you have clearly discussed your expectations with your companion. The longest hire I ever did was for a 7 day cruise with an escort (an 8 day hire). I hired an escort I had been with before and felt I had a great connection with. We agreed upon a rate I was very comfortable with. The first day was good, but it went rapidly downhill from there. By day 3 we had problems and by day 4-5 we couldn't stand each other. Nothing like being stuck in a 150sq ft cabin with a person you aren't getting along with.

What I am trying to warn you about is be very careful about the person you select to take such an adventure with. Going on one or even a few appointments might not be enough to determine how you will get along in an extended setting. I would recommend (FROM EXPERIENCE) that you only take such a trip with an escort you are very familiar and comfortable with. The only thing worse than going on a dream vacation alone is getting stuck on a dream vacation that turns into a nightmare!

If you take this trip I sincerely hope it works out for both of you.

without getting unnecessarily specific, do you mind saying what doomed the week-long trip for you guys?...thanks....

The shortest I hire is a weekend, having spent nearly three weeks with a favorite escort of mine in south africa. While I'd agree that not spending long span with a first hire is a good idea, there are many great young men out there who can do it effortlessly. Just as there are escorts who specialize in one hours, there are also guys who do long term travel as their main business.

Brendon Steele-FL, Benjamin Nicholas-TX and Jason Carter-AZ are all top, great reviewed escorts who travel well.

Ted's three points are right-on target. I would suggest that before you take a week or longer trip that you try two or three days and that, only after you have had at least one hour or two hour sessions. As with everything in life the key is upfront communication. You are doing the hiring and must tell the escort what you expect. Remember that you are essentially hiring the escort to be a travel companion and not hiring for marathon sex. The fact that you will be paying all travel expenses for the escort is not a substitute for the escort's fee. My experience says that there is not a standard fee for this type of hire and that it is something that you need to discuss with the escort.

I remember about this story. It has been discussed at length on another Forum with some nasty comments about you and the escort in question. I understand that it must have left a bad taste in your mouth and I'm sympathetic to your situation. Not every encounter is such a disaster as was yours. Don't lose hope. Merry Christmas, everyone.

When I've hired an escort to accompany me on a trip, the thing I try to keep mind is that while I'm on vacation, the escort is working. As part of his business, he needs time to manage his calendar, confirm with future clients, and keep his body in the shape that caught your eye in the first place. Make sure to give him a reasonable amount of alone time to manage his business affairs.

I am going to give the "scenario" a try this Christmas; in the past, I have preferred to patronize a rentboy whose "home port", if you will, was my destination. On one occasion, I did undertake a holiday cruise with a young Argentine lawyer of my acquaintance, and, it proved a delightful sojourn. He was not a "rentboy", but, I did pick up the "tab" for us.

I have often jumped in on such discussions about lengthy hires - a decade or so ago, I did these more frequently, now less frequently both because of the economics involved (and sometimes Homeland Security issues), and the difficulty of finding someone truly compatible for more then 2 or 3 days.

1) Before settling on something more than 2-3 days, make sure you have spent at least 2 full nights and days together, in one room, to see how compatible you are in tight spaces (not in the gutter, gentlemen, but the ability to really share limited space - including both the king sized bed, and bath... some can be finicky, others are restless sleepers, others snore, others... well you get the idea).

2) Outside of the bedroom, make sure you have common interests and more or less operate on a common clock eg. bad advice for a day person to go on a lengthy trip with a night person. You'll both end up rather bitchy ater 3 or 4 days. The best is to find someone whose daily "clock" matches yours, especially for touring, and cruise ships etc...

3) Ability to communicate! Yes, it may be terrific to take that Bel Ami god who speaks only Czech (or Slovak or Hungarian) on a trip, but how do you order a meal together? How do you converse during the meal? How do you communicate as you tour or walk around? Sure in the bed a minimal of words may get you by, but for the other hours??? Or what if your taste runs to Gangsta types, or people from other countries now working here, and all of a sudden outside on the street, or in public places, you find you have no idea what the other guy is saying?? Again, a try-out of 2-3 days before is a way to clear the air on this.

4) Definately agree on "down time" each day before you even leave for the trip. I usually plan out a small schedule with a guy I hire, and I include time when he is absolutely free to do what he wants, time for him each day in a gym or spa, down time for him (if we travel to a resort) where he can relax on his own. My experience is that, aside from the grateful acceptance of the private gym/spa time, most prefer tagging along with me when I walk around, sight-see or shop. BUT I make it clear that the trip does not entail 24/7 service or work for them. If there is something I want to do TOGETHER, I tell them up front from the first day (eg a show, a special dinner, a special sightseeing excursion etc). It is also made clear (see another thread here) what time I expect us BOTH to get moving in the AM (and on lengthy trips, in some places I enjoy a siesta, and he is free to join me or go off on his own).

Finally on the FEE, there are no set rules. If the guy is good, nad you know him and vice versa, once you plan the trip, and explain the details of the trip, a saavy escort knows how to price it fairly, and as others have said, the costs we (client) incur do not preclude the fee at all.

Prudent advices which should be printed up for distribution to those who are considering holidays with rentboys. I shouldpont out that my Argentine travel companion was "thirty-something", young in comparison to me, and, he had been a guest in my home on one or two occasions before we embarked on a holiday together, and, thereby I had a familiarity with his manner.

Thanks for the well wishers from this post but I sincerely posted my experience in hopes it helps someone else and not to hijack the thread and/or make it about me.

I actually have never discussed this particular experience before on this website so please don't make any assumptions about the escort in question. The particular escort actually is not actively escorting any longer so there is no need to worry about anyone else having the same bad experience.

I actually prefer talking about the good experiences I have had with escorts and there are many of them.

If you take nothing else from my experience just really think hard about who you will share your adventure with and how well you know them and trust them and how well you can communicate with them.

Bon Voyage.

Dont take an escort anywhere you can't afford a last minute one way ticket home for him...or the required change fee to send him back before you ruin your vacation. I had to send someone home from Rome after 48 hours that was planned for a week. Cost me $300 and I paid half of the remaining time but it was worth it for me. It was someoneni had seen for an overnight before but overnight is not daytime walking around. Blu

I totally agree with all the excellent suggestions put forth about travelling with an escort. What I would like to add to these is that the element of “respect” must exist by both people. When hiring, one has to remember they are hiring a “person” and respect their uniqueness, both the commonalities as well as their differences. These would be brought forth in weekenders and previous encounters for the most part. After knowing an escort for about two years we started travelling together throughout this last year, weekends and recently a ten day holiday. Fees, open communication, and common planning were done far ahead of the trips and there was a clear understanding that the trip was a holiday and experience that should be enjoyed by both although I am sure that in the back of his mind he was cognizant of the “working” concept. The time for individualism is very important and I made sure that in the course of our planning he was totally aware that there was no a ball and chain tied to his leg. He was free to attend to his individual needs whenever and for whatever time he wanted. Sometimes a person just needs some “me” time. The sex is awesome, but it is just part of the whole package. There is a big world out there with things to do and see and share with each other as travelling companions. I have had a great experience in travelling with my escort and look forward to 12 days in Spain. the Mediterranean Cruise, and several others this year.

There are some special qualities one might look for in an escort for travel beyond the sexual or bedroom compatibility concerns of shorter hires.

Someone to help with the physical or logistical aspects of traveling, help with luggage, hailing taxis, running around town getting show tickets, befriending the local constabulary, museum curator or whatever. An escort who is not above being Sherpa, assistant, concierge, maybe even a bit of a body guard.

Also someone who will enjoy discovering new things with you. A companion who is different than you or complements you might be better than only comfortable compatibility.

Might be good if the escort is independent and possessing initiative, and either knowledgeable about the culture and place you are traveling OR perhaps better yet inventive and able to think on his feet. Thereby helping you to discover new things, take advantage of last minute opportunities and help save the trip or day from unexpected glitches.

Someone who can roll with the punches, run across town to fetch a taxi, or umbrella, or scramble and find a new restaurant, find alternatives in case of a train strike. Someone who isn't afraid to learn a few polite words in another language or patiently use gestures and body language to get by.

When I read about the horrors of being stuck in a small cabin or hotel room with an escort that is less compatible than hoped, I wonder why? Unless it is for sleeping or intimacy I'm not sure why one would even be in the room when even the smallest town or most boring country must surely have something to see or discover.

I've been on travels ranging from 1 to 6 people where storms, strikes and even sedition threatened to derail our trip. But sometimes all it took to make the trip even better than planned was sprinting into town during a storm to get food, or sweet talking a hotel clerk into finding us a room, or learning how to say thank you in the local language which neither of us had even knew existed. Sometimes an extra bottle of vodka opens the dining car in the middle of the night, a sincere interest in the local culture gets you invited to the mayors house for dinner or the back room of the museum. The kids playing soccer in the street might show you ruins that most tourist never see. The chef comes out to see who actually ordered the menu item written only in local dialect and then invites you into the kitchen etc.
