So I don't understand...there's been people who have alleged others in the forum use multiple nicknames...is that true?

 

I also don't understand how forum posters who have lurked for "so long" all of a sudden come out of hiding for some typically totally random posting and then start posting with amazing frequency. I mean are these really "new people"?

 

i'm just trying to understand it is all. probably a mistake on my part.

Perhaps people lurk because they have nothing new to contribute or concerned that others may be too critical of their comments. I've noticed a marked decrease in interesting topics (to me, at least).... where's bcohen???? miss you!

An unbelievable compliment--I am not worthy.

My only contributions were quirky queries to escorts, and some videos. I didn't think very many other viewers found them interesting. One viewer loosed a ferocious personal attack (remember him? Mr. "Get a Sense of Humor").

Some guys travel a lot. Some prefer to keep a low profile due to their public or professional image. some guys like to just watch the travel schedules and event schedules on the site and then maybe post after randomly reading something? Some guys are not really out yet. Maybe they are just a bit shy about it all or getting a feel for things.

People come around in their own time when it's right for them at some point.

The site is meant to be available to those who want to experience it. They can be daily posters or lurkers as well. It's like a football game or something... some people watch and some people play and some people read about it in the papers~

gcursor, I am one of those posters who has an alter-ego here on the forum. My reasons for setting up the second persona was not nefarious in any way...I was actually trying to leave my old persona behind and trying to start over here in the forum...I was having a tough emotional time and trashed mt doit profile, including deleting all PMs etc....Going off the deep end did not last too long and several friends on the forum talkedme down....

 

I'm guessing that there are many varied reasons why someone would want to be here in another guise....

Tyger-- lately on Facebook and on a couple of blogs that I've looked at where there are multiple respondents, I see people referring to a specific post or to a specific person the way they would to what I presume is a convention on Twitter. I don't Twit, or is that Tweet?, so I don't know for sure. But I've seen a lot of people responding to specific posts by using the '@screen name' format in their reply for example' @Rexall that's a stupid reply'. I hope this might be a helpful suggestion.

That's just the way Twitter works. If you want to "say" something and make sure someone you don't follow sees it, you use their @username in the tweet. Twitter shows you any tweets where someone mentions you.

Well maybe he is writing a dull and artistically challenged book. No i believe bcohen is merely looking for some basic information. After all, there is a rich tapestry of questions and answers to be found in the archives of this site, so if he were writing a book he would be better served using that source.

As to the o.p. question. Yes some have multiple personalities here. As a gay man living as a married straight Guy and father ... I had enough facades so nytomcat was it for me. There are times I share and post every emotional thought that comes into my head. Then others when I stay silent and just lurk. Can't say I know why and how my attitudes change... just that they do.

 

I've had lots of changes recently but have cjoosen not to share as I have in the past. God knows nothing has ever been too personal for me ..lmao. hell I've been accused of only talking about me. Maybe true. But what I know is escorts and this forum have uniquely changed my life. And this forum will forever be a part of me. Literally ... yesterday my first tattoo was inked . ... yeah it hurts. But not bad... the tattoo represents a number of things important to me. A family crest a certain male male connotation. A tribute to certain people in my life and of course its topped by what....

In all honesty, Yes~ I was wondering what you do with all of that info. You ask a lot of questions and then there seems to be no follow up with why or how it's used. It's more then just personal curiosity. It's specific questions directed at specific situations and groups of people. The questions and topics are thought out and planned. So... what's it all about? My inquiring mind wants to know about your inquiring mind~ You monitoring the people here? the site? what's the deal? Even people with projects in the making tell the people, who contribute to the project, who they are and what they are doing and why.

I'm not saying your bad or anything... you just ask a lot about the people and things on the board. So, I'm asking about you. To tell us about you.
