Fireworks from the roof top.

I will be spending it with my dog in our secret little place to watch the fireworks that is a nice unknown location on the top of the roof of my apartment complex with a key I found two years ago that building management must have lost. ;) I bring up the dogs water bowl, a couple beers for myself and some music with a blanket.

Can't ask for much more. I'm a simple guy who loves the 4th of July to celebrate this nation's birthday with man's best friend and ultimate companion.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

Its Poolside for me with the extended family. Then watching the fireworks over a local lake from a friends pontoon boat. so yeah over us. half the time the older family are on the boat and the rest of us are in the water. too many for the boat itself.

Usually We end up drunk in a 12 person hot tub after that with some really cute guys (all str8 or claiming to be) friends from around the lake. However since a friend here on the forum referred to a hottub as swimming in boiling man juices. Im not sure if thats a turn on or...... Yuck. I'll report back after.

I will be visiting my brother and his wife in Ct. He lives on a lake and on Fourth of July there is a boat parade in the evening where the boats are decorated following a theme set each year. Then a lot of people set of their own fireworks on the lake...Just the noise of it all is fun...

we generally have some healthy grilled food because my brother eats healthier that we do..It's a nice change.

Happy Fourth to all.

I have friends visiting over the weekend and will be taking them on tours of DC. We'll hit some of the non-traditional locations like the Albert Einstein Monument, the home of Eleanor Walsh McLean (last owner of the Hope Diamond), Al Gore's boyhood home the Fairfax Hotel, the Temperance Monument (and have a toast), then make a swing through Georgetown to visit the Exorcist Stairs.

Along the way we'll throw in the Capitol, White House, and a few other places that will likely be packed with tourists. We’ve not yet decided if fireworks will be on the Mall, or the Iwo Jima Memorial or one of the hotel balconies.

Been doing the same thing for over 20 years. Gather here in San Francisco at a friends home that has windows looking out to the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges. Will have an extended cocktail hour and then either hamburgers or hot dogs and somewhere around 9 pm the fireworks will start. Unfortunately the weather here in SF has a history of not cooperating on the 4th and we end-up trying to view the fireworks through a bank of fog.

Here in Toronto, it's our Pride celebration on the 4th this year.

Normally we celebrate Pride the last weekend of June, but the recent G20 meeting caused our celebration to be bumped (luckily, actually, because it rained last Sunday and that would have been the parade day).

It's one of the big days for me personally. Will get all dolled up, get the jewels out of the vault, and will watch some of the parade and wander the gay village with friends taking in the joy of it all. Usually we spend the better part of the afternoon in one of the beer gardens (burp), before heading out for dinner. Finally home to soak my feet.....yikes those pumps are killers! lol

A couple of my friends are expat Americans, so I'm sure we'll also be toasting the good ole USofA numerous times throughout the day.;)

It's a time of celebration for the USA and our neighbors to the north in Canada. We're becoming world citizens as we begin to bring our borders closer together with cheer, celebration, family, friends, laughs and memories FOR YEARS TO COME! It truly is a wonderful next couple of days for both our nations as again, we're world citizens and should celebrate independence together with beautiful displays of fireworks and good times.

LIFE IS GOOD! Life only gets better! Hold your kids, spouses, friends and don't forget about your beloved pets because they're part of this wonderful thing called life!

I fondly remember when I was just a wee little kid many moons ago how our neighborhood would get together, block off the streets from traffic so that tables could be setup and neighbors from all over would bring their favorite food groups, treats and sweets with sparklers and good cheer. Neighbors that didn't care for one another and neighbors that adored the other would come together, put their differences aside to celebrate a wonderful holiday with everyone. The music would play while the parents swayed in their chairs with martini's galore and the laughs could be heard for blocks away. Oh the good old days when everyone came together with such cheer and smiles! The days of being a kid again!

It truly is a holiday where we can all get together and be thankful that our founding fathers and those that died fighting for our freedom from over the pond to the East and for those that are still fighting for our freedom overseas spreading democracy around the globe. PLEASE remember our troops who are giving their lives which enable us to have such a splendid holiday and give thanks to the mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, cousins and extended family members who have blessed us all with their patriotic efforts to bring safety to us here at home.

Here's to hoping that Dallas doesn't burn itself down since we have had little rain but I hope that doesn't stop the celebrations!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE! DON'T BLOW YOUR HANDS OFF! :p

Yes, I'm a nerd so no need to remind me!

For many years I went to MPO (Mount Pocono, PA) to celebrate the holiday with friends who lived there. PA has stricter laws about fireworks than some other places so I was instructed to bring some which I bought in MS (everything is still legal in MS, isn't it MsGuy?), about 3 grocery bags full. We would have an all day "picnic" with around 50 folks in attendance, relatives, friends from far and near, a keg of beer, a box of wine, mixed drinks and all sorts. Then, when it got dark, around 10 PM, those of us who were not too loaded and "in charge" walked down to the road and started shooting fireworks up in the air and eventually into the "wet lands" adjacent, while most of the folks sat in chairs and oohed and ahhed or just drank some more. I am sure this whole enterprise was illegal in at least several ways. With little breeze blowing, the road quickly became smoke filled and usually I had to depart to get some air to breathe. One might not realize how much smoke fireworks make until up close with many.

Unfortunately, those were the good old days. My friends are in poor health and we no longer go there for the holiday. So, I will just stay home and cook something semi-appropriate and toast our freedom while I think of ways to help make it last.

Best regards,

KMEM

About 12 years ago, I went out to dinner with my wife and two friends at a local restaurant. As we walked out, a rather large fireworks display was taking place down the road. We stayed in the parking lot of the restaurant which is located high on a hill and watched the fireworks and then went home, avoiding all the traffic. That has become the July 3 tradition for me. Dinner at the Outback, and then camping out in the parking lot watching the fireworks from the river downhill from there.

Growing up, July 4th was my mother's birthday and so that day always involved large numbers of extended family members and a water fight with everyone ending up drenched and eating barbecue.

My city is having its parade on Saturday morning and I'm one of the volunteers. So, I'm starting off with the local parade.

After that, I'm driving up to my recreation property (about 1 hour drive). Will spend the remaining holiday with the deer, moose, rabbits, wild turkeys, mosquitoes and fooling around on my ATV.

And, yes, my 20 acres is in the wilderness. No electricity or cell phone coverage and the closest neighbor is about 1 mile away.

When the family shows up on Sunday, we'll have almost a dozen people camping out in my little "trailer city". I'm looking forward to relaxing.

Happy 4th

Or your ass.
A Romann... I mean Roman candle up the ass might just be a nice holiday treat...

Actually I will be spending a "quiet" Holiday at home... well it won't be very quiet around here. Friday there will be a professional fireworks display visible from my back yard... Then the rest of the weekend the neighbors will take over as I watch hundreds and perhaps thousands of dollars of bombs bursting in the air... no mere Roman candles for these folks... along with the smoky sweet smell of gun powder!

Spending the weekend with two of my favorite escorts: Bryan#2(New York) and Chet AKA Aden Rush(Chicago). These are two of the nicest, sex loving, intelligent, fun guys around. I expect real fireworks for the weekend!!

Is this a great country!!!

I'm kicking-back with good friends down on the Washington Mall to enjoy the traditional fireworks and the July 4th concert. This year's concert includes Reba McEntire, Gladys Knight, David Archuleta (American Idol), and classical pianist Lang Lang with the National Symphony Orchestra, the U.S. Army Band, and the U.S. Marine Drum and Bugle Corps. It promises to be a fun and inspirational evening...just hoping it doesn't rain. Happy Fourth of July guys!

oh my

Lucky you.. It is always hard for me to keep up with even one escort.. and I always admire those who can hire two at the same time.. I will probably need my heart medication for that... lol.. Have a great 4th of July~~~~ :)

Last time I spent the 4th on the mall was the year Nancy Reagan called the Beach Boys unamerican. (They were terrific!)

I will relax at home with friends and watch the same concert you watch (on 3-hour delay), while toasting you with an adult beverage and hoping the cats don't get too nutty when the neighbors start setting off fireworks (and possibly wildfires).
