Last year I spent 4th of July in Boston and watched the fireworks from the Bay.

This year, me and my bf will be having a pool party at his place...but in between I'll be available for work and play. Which is great that I have someone who is ok with it, because would like to meet some clients as well. Hopefully the remnants of Hurricane Alex will move along quickly so I can hit the beach this weekend.

I always seem to have more fun on 4th of July than Memorial Day

Since I'm in the DC metro area, I feel an urge to visit a museum or monument this weekend--too bad about all the damn tourists. Well, maybe I can make that part of the fun and just hunt for the hottest looking guy on the mall :) Where's my D90?

P-Town!!

Headed to P-town tomorrow for a week with some great friends and some R&R!! Love that place. A house, some drink, great food, and a guy or two, or...oh hell, why be limiting!

Boston was a great warm up for the weekend and next week. Will definitely be back! Had a blast on my first visit. It’s an awesome town with awesome people. And also, hands down the most insanely amazing cannoli I have ever put in my mouth! ;) The pastry was great too! Lol! Happy Independence Day gents!! Xoxo

I thought it was James Watt who made that statement. ;)

Oh wait, you're right. NR intervened and got the performance to go ahead.

They say memory is the 2nd thing to go. I'll let you know if I remember the first.

The old couple are watching TV. The old man gets up and says "I'm going to get some ice cream. Would you like a dish of ice cream?"

The old woman looks at him and scowls. "No", she says. "You'll only screw it up."

"No, I won't. What do you want?"

"Well, okay, then. I want some vanilla ice cream with whipped cream on top and a cherry." she says. "But don't screw it up."

The old man is gone for a long time and finally comes back. He sets a plate of scrambled eggs in front of the old woman. She looks up at him and scowls again and says "I told you that you'd screw it up! You forgot my toast!"

Honcho you are so talented~~ Have fun~~ :)

I will be playing in a traditional old-fashioned band concert.

(Including Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture ; no real cannons though - the last thing on the program will be Sousa's "Stars & Stripes Forever".)

A Cheap, Quiet 4th

The friends I usually spend the 4th with are out of town. I'll probably take in a movie, and try to get stuff done around the house. I'd love to be spending, at least, one night this weekend with a hot escort, but I retired two years ago and I have to watch my finances. Oh, financially I'm doing okay, but just can't shell out around a $1,000 for an evening with an escort, right now. Plus, where I live I'd have to catch a plane to get to a place with a decent selection of guys, and I'm not going to travel somewhere just to spend around $200 just to see a guy for one hour. Alas, it's been almost two years since I've connected with an escort. The wait will just make it much more special when I can, once again, spend an evening with a hot, hunky guy.

I'm kicking-back with good friends down on the Washington Mall to enjoy the traditional fireworks and the July 4th concert. ...just hoping it doesn't rain.

A few years ago I was in DC om July 4. A few hours before the fireworks the sky opened up and it just started pouring. The rain stopped in time for the fireworks and the show was spectacular. This year, I will be grilling out with some friends and then heading down to Harbor Island to watch San Diego's Big Bay Boom.

PS: Try to make it for The Capital Fourth rehearsal the day before. Although it gets boring after a while, it was fun to watch and listen to.

Oh, screw that. BREAKFAST AT WIMBLEDON!

Have you seen Rafa Nadal's magnificent ass? :D

I guess I don't really see the attraction, with so many other hot tennis players, but hey to each is own. It's the 4th. We should all be worshiping the ass of our own choosing and celebrating what makes America great.

On Lay-over at CMH...

We finished our last leg of a ten-hour day at CMH (Columbus, OH) at 7:40pm, check-in to our crew hotel and quickly changed clothes. The friendly hotel van driver shuttled me and my fellow crew members down to the Columbus Riverfront Area where we ate burgers & beer and enjoyed spectacular fireworks synchronized to music ranging from Lee Greenwood to AC/DC to the Jonas Brothers..Go figure--only in America! Although I worked this holiday and couldn't be with my kids, it was great to get to enjoy a bit of Independence Day festivities with my colleagues who were also away from their families. If I had to spend the evening anywhere besides home, I must say Columbus was a fun place to spend it. They have a terrific celebration called "Red, White and Boom" and there were tons of hot midwestern boys running around in shorts (some shirtless, too). God Bless America, Canada and all Peace-Loving Nations. Happy Independence Day, gentlemen!

Any holiday you haven't worked? I have been out of the country on every holiday known to man except Christmas. There are worse places to be stuck on a holiday than Port Columbus. :)

Best regards,

KMEM
