Best Wishes To Jackhammer

Although he hasn't posted much lately, jackhammer has long been a friend of the MC. He has been my friend for many years, since we met in New York and he first learned the ropes of Stella's and the Gaiety with the bf, Cooper, and me. With jackhammer living in north Los Angeles, I have seem more of him than many other posters, and, given his close friendship with Oliver, jackhammer has come to Palm Springs many times when Oliver is in residence.

So it was with some dismay that I learned from Oliver last week that jackhammer is hospitalized. He has now started his second week in the hospital. When I spoke to him on Sunday, he sounded good and was looking forward to being released in just a few days. But hospitals are never fun, and if you learn there that you have to make significant changes in your lifestyle, well, then you need the support of friends.

Where better to get that than from the many friends and kind people here in Hooville? Get well soon, jackhammer!

I too wish to add my best wishes for jackhammer's speedy recovery. He has been a fixture on the board for as long as I can remember. Maybe that's a bad omen! Just kidding.

 

We are all getting older and whenever we hear that someone we know is in the hospital it provokes many emotions, mostly about how frail we all are and treasuring the fact that when we are well what a blessing it is.

 

From my experience, the best motivation to getting out of the hospital is the awful food they have and not being able to sleep in one's own bed. So I hope jackhammer gets back in his own bed real soon!

Get well Jackhammer

 

Jackhammer is one of those "larger than life" kind of guys. A kind of person who has the charisma to fill a room. An amazingly and honestly charming person. However the surprising thing is that his heart and compassion and openness are even bigger than his personality. For those of you who haven't had the good fortune to meet him you shouldn't pass up the chance.

 

 

While we haven't kept in touch I consider him a great friend, someone you can go to even if you haven't spoken in a while. And now a get well soon "Jack"....someone has to keep all those hard body furry guys company!
