I really enjoy 2- or 3-day trips in the company of an escort. But, I'm running out of ideas about where to go next. My experiences so far include Vegas (twice), Hawaii, and Philadelphia (my home town).

I really would appreciate your suggestions! :-)

What do you like to do? Ski - Aspen, Vail, etc. Park City, Tahoe

Beach/Sun - San Diego, Palm Springs, SoBeach

Theatre-NYC London(probably not a 2 or 3 day trip unless you're in Europe already or have the bucks to fly the Concorde).

I think you're in the Bay area, if the escort isn't local you could stay in a hotel for 2 or 3 nights and show him the sights. Even if you both are local, there are plenty of things to do that you probably haven't done simply because you don't have the time. Being "on vacation" seems to change my mindset that I do some of those things. Most people know more about some of the places they've visited than they do about the places close to home.

I suggest the Trans-Siberian railway in February. It takes 8 days from Moscow to Vladivostok, the escort will quickly realize you are the only person he wants to talk to (in fact, most of the time he won't want to let you out of his sight), and there's no chance he'll want to get off anywhere along the way during a frigid Siberian winter in the middle of absolutely nowhere.

Plus, there's plenty of beer and vodka on board, and the food in the dining car isn't bad. You have to put up with some drunk Mongolians on their way to Ulaan Bator, but you'll learn to drink right along with 'em.

Your escort will want to spend most of the time in your first-class cabin (quite comfy - and so romantic to watch the moonlight sparkle on virgin snowdrifts in the frozen taiga).

And the price is very reasonable!

Yes, I heartily agree on this one. I too am a Bay Area guy and when I had the opportunity to take a 3 night/4 day getaway vacation that my company gives to folks who have been in their employ for a long time, I selected Monterey, mainly because it didn't require air travel expenses, which my company did not cover -- just the hotel and some spending money.

It was a nice surprise because the Monterey area is small enough so that we didn't feel we had to see all the "sights." We did visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium and drove the 17 mile drive in Carmel, but the rest of the time was spent just doing whatever we felt like, which included some nice, quality restaurants, some shopping, working out together (which we had never done before) and back at the hotel for lots of creative sex and just enjoying each other.

So it really does depend on what your interests are and your budget, but there are truly lots of areas close to home that don't require a whole lot of money or planning effort. And to boot, the smaller, less obvious places give you a chance to just relax and to have good, quality time with your 'scort.

Next time I do any getaway traveling, I'm considering Yosemite, which

is relatively close to the Bay Area.

Thanks.

It can depend on the time of year and your own past, too. For a three day weekend in August, I always dream of Colorado Springs. Going to one of the world's best ice cream shops (Michelle's - the original, downtown location), driving up Pike's Peak, doing dinner at some little place an hour's drive into the mountains, going through the Cave of the Winds to really get cool again (away from Houston heat), going to the mellerdrammer and gambling at Cripple Creek (an easy drive away), etc. :9

How about up along the Northern California coast Hwy 1 into Oregon? Lots of sights (when not foggy), fresh seafood, cosy B&B's and then into Portland. Driving back I-5 would take you about 11 hours to Bay Area from there.

Also Puerto Vallarta is only a 3 1/2 hour flight from SFO direct via Alaska Air. And the price is right with a vibrant gay scene...

Mt. Shasta is nice in the late summer/early fall. Drive up the mountain as far as you can and then walk up as far as you can. Perhaps because I live in an urban area, going away to somewhere quiet is appealing to me (hence I go to Kauai instead of Oahu, and I find the most deserted beaches I can).

Yosemite (off season) is also be nice.

i've done santa monica several times with escorts. stay on the beach at shutters or lowes. you can walk to the third street mall and main street as well as venice beach. we rent bicycles or rollerblade up to will rogers beach to see the gay volley ball teams and down to marina del ray with a stop at venice beach to see the musclemen and "venice people"(artists, palm readers, etc.). the hotels have nice workout facilities. lots of good resturants in the area. on a few trips, we never left the beach area and on others went up to west hollywood for all the gay attractions. both shutters and lowes are "gay friendly".

santa fe new mexico is another place with lots to do and places to walk. just the art galleries alone can take a day.

no place beats new york city. if you can not stay busy here with an escort, then something is wrong with you. this is my favorite place to be with an escort.

Having grown up there, I would whole-heartedly agree with you on SM as a choice. Though I've never stayed at Loew's It seems nice! :)

HOW ABOUT TORONTO, CANADA? A CLIENT RECENTLY TOOK ME THERE, AND IT BY FAR IS JUST ONE OF THE PRETTIEST MAJOR CITIES, WITH GREAT RESTAURANTS, GOOD NIGHT LIFE, FUN THINGS TO DO FOR A TOURIST, AND CUTE BED AND BREAKFASTS.

OTHER NEAT PLACES WOULD BE REHOBETH BEACH(SPELLING ON THAT ONE?) OR SAUGATAUK , MI.

THOUGH I WOULD HAVE ADDED PHILLY TO THAT LIST BUT I SEE YOU'VE ALL READY DONE THAT. A CLIENT SPENT SOME TIME WITH ME THERE. WHAT A GREAT CITY!

ANYWAY, I VOTE FOR TORONTO!

:) HAVE FUN!

There's also Walt Disney World and Orlando some hot escorts there to play with if you don't bring your own. Adrian and Blake. ALso a cruise is nice did one with Vegas Dave for 7 but could do one less time. Lots of options with lots of guys. I like many of the guys so I tend to repeat and know it will be a good time HUGS Chuck

I will second the vote for Toronto. When I was on air in Michigan I would try to make it to Toronto several times a month. I still get there several times a year.

How can you go wrong when they name a city after an Indian word that basically means "meeting place." :)

If I recall you live in Northern Calfironia so that might be a little further than you want to go. Someone had mentioned camping in this thread, going to Bishop might also turn into a fun time.

Right on! I really love to travel but there's no place like my hometown, the center of the universe. ;-)

I don't want to sound like my local tourist bureau - but why not Vancouver? Beautiful city situated between mountains & ocean. Lot's of good eateries, shopping and an active gay scene. Day trips to Victoria and the gulf islands are added attractions and best of all (for Americans) a favourable exchange rate. Bargain time!

Gee guys, many thanks for all these great ideas. New York, or Disney World, or Vancouver seem to be floating to the top of my list.

Toronto would also be a wonderful choice but I can't imagine going there and not spending some time and Remington's. And that, I think, would be a bit awkward with an escort in tow. ;)

Not at all.

Part of the fun of being with an escort is that you *can*

do things like that if you want to.

I took Aaron Lawrence for two weekend trips to Toronto a couple

of years ago and he certainly didn't have any problem with spending

some time at Remingtons

My Cub and I have been meaning to get to Santa Fe and Sonoma for a couple of years now. Is it as wonderful spiritually/artistically as I hear? (I expect the Sonoma rock formations to remind me of The Garden of the Gods in Colorada Springs.)

If you or your escort work out with weights or is a bodybuilder, by all means go to Gold's Gym in Venice. Or plan an entire trip around it. Another good place to stay is the Marina Pacific hotel in Venice, just a few feet from the boardwalk, muschle beach, and the beach. Eat at the Firehouse with the big guys, and in the evening drive a mile (?) down the street to Marina Del Rey and eat at one of the many great restaurants--sit on the patio and watch the boats.

AND - I forgot to add - we have a famous NUDE BEACH, called "Wreck Beach", easily accesable with a seperate secluded gay section. This section has lots of trails and bushes for those who prefer a little privacy, or do it on the beach for all to see. Worth the trip to Vancouver for this alone!

Spoken like a true New Yorker. ;-)

Actually, there is much to be said for staying on your home turf (or your escort's) and just doing stuff you wouldn't ordinarily do.

When I lived in DC, I rarely got to any of the tourist attractions except when I had company. When I lived in the NYC area I had a great view of the Statue of Liberty from my office in the WFC but I've never been there.

Staying home can be fun.

I love the Malibu Beach Inn in Malibu. The ocean comes right up to the Inn at high tide. (I love having sex to the sound on the waves crashing on the beach.) At low tide, you can walk along the long stretch of beach known as the "The Colony" and check out the houses.

The Inn is first class, only has about 40 rooms so there is a

more personal atmosphere than the hotels mentioned close by in Santa Monica. I have stayed there about 10 times, because I also really enjoy riding up into the canyons across from the ocean. Great place!
