My vacation starts the end of the month and I am staying home this year in DC. I am even flying out my favorite San Francisco escort for the weekend.

Living in a major city like DC or New York you sometimes don't appreicate what you have in your own backyard. There is a new museum dedicated to spying that opens July 19, and a new Egyptian exhibit opened July 1. Its said to be the best example of Egyptian history since the Tut exhibit.

I have considered trips to Philadelphia and Charleston for short stays with an escort as well. Those will be on the list for next time. Visited Remingtons in Toronto with an escort once and it turned into a hot time afterwards. He knew two of the guys there and the four of us went back to my hotel. So you may want to reconsider about Toronto.

Have fun.

I'm a big fan of our National Parks. Bryce, Zion and the Grand Canyon are all within a days drive of each other. They tend to book up months in advance but I've found a good time to go is late August, early September. That's when the family tourists head home because of school starting, so it's a little quieter. Yosemite in early May, when the waterfalls are at their peak, is sublime. I also love the coastal drive just north of San Francisco.

Since New York is my hometown and I've lived here all my life, I can promise you'll never run out of things to do. Fall is especially nice. Walking in Central Park as the leaves are changing color is so romantic.

Anywhere that has a good beach gets my vote.

Sante Fe I found very disappointing and La Vegas really turns me off. The popularity of Disneyland is a mystery to me. It's a children's amusement park and at those prices I'd rather go to Paris. Give me someplace real. Either nature or an exciting city.

Log,

Not sure where you are located, but consider Dollywood. I have sung its praise before. It is a great getaway for a couple of days. If you tire of Dollywood (unthinkable), you can head over to Gatlinburg. They have a Sizzler and a Shoney's.

If you go to D'wood in the off season, you can usually get two rides for one. Last time we went, the Tilt-a-whirl operator let us go around for a third time. It was November, and snowing, so the place was not busy.

Compared to what's available OUTSIDE the train - it wasn't that bad.

But I don't suppose anyone will actually take my suggestion anyway...
