in my area of northeastern worcester county in massachusetts, the price ranges from: $1.83 to $2.26 for regular. The higher prices are those stations directly off the exit ramps from route 495. the lower prices in the neighborhoods.

1.39 at a local station last week but there did seem to be a bit of a local gas war going on. I have not been by those stations since but will see when I need my next fill up.

The Fred Meyer-Kroger station down the street, at an I-5 exit in Southwest Portland, just went to $1.99 today and was lined up all the way back to the freeway this afternoon.

Costco in SoCal today was $2.65.

Here in SoCal we're still paying a premium because of the special "California Blend" and the loss of the refinery that makes much of it. (And, I suspect, some price gouging.)

Yes, deej, has it right. SoCal still has some of the highest gas prices in the country. http://www.ourgtn.org/public/style_emoticons/default/ahhhhhhh.gif

The lowest I've seen lately is around $2.55. But it isn't hard to find places over $3.00 if you are hankering to pay more.

I'm currently in a different part of Charlie's state. According to gasbuddy, $2.45 is the lowest price for unleaded regular in the immediate area.

GasBuddy has $2.29 for me in the South Puget Sound Area. Washington state usually has high prices too.

Still the longest running thread in site history, because the subject is as eternal as escort prices. Whatever became of the lovely Talvin?

By the way, in Palm Springs we are still paying about $2.80 for unleaded regular.

Talvin reportedly retired from the Armed Forces which he continued to be a member of while he escorted. I would have liked to have hired him. But like Rod Hagen, Brandan Steele, and a few others over the years, he was a total top.

I'll check when I'm back home in a week or so - I don't pay attention to the different grades available - but the last time I bought fuel, diesel was $1.209/l (US83.8c/l or $US3.17/US Gallon)

According to the news in Houghton Lake Michigan price was down to 47 cents a gallon, doubt that will last.

I don't want to sit a gas line in 4 degrees!

Gas Buddy shows an Arco station with a cash price of $1.779 and credit price of $1.879 about a mile from me.

I remember back in 1986 when the price of a barrel of crude oil was between $20 and $30. I was living in Houston at the time going to school. La Colombe D'Or a very fancy boutique hotel/restaurant was running a promotion. They were offering a 4 course lunch for the same daily price as that of a barrel of crude oil. A group of about 6 of us bagged school, got all dressed up, and went to a fine dining experience for around $28.
