When I first came across this site Hooboy had an annual "Escort of the Year" poll. I know he stopped doing the poll due to voting irregularites for the golden scepter. But, I always found it fun and wish he would bring it back this year.

 

I'm not sure who I would vote for, it would be hard to choose one guy, but it would be interesting to see others choices. If I remember correctly the original poll allowed you to vote for more than one guy when you voted but to only vote once. When someone would vote for someone I didn't know, I would always go to the Reviews to check the guy out. I'm sure the poll generated many hits to this site just look at all the hits on the Gaiety poll.

 

We have Gaiety dancer of the year, Why not Escort of the Year?

 

Who would you vote for Escort of the Year if you could vote ?

Bestow Season's Greetings on a per name basis, rather than wish best of the season and the holidays upon all people, pick the BEST escort of the year, pick the best five escorts of the last year, pick your top 5 wish list for 2005?

 

WTF??? Is it a contest now, and if so, shouldn't everyone have sampled the contestants to be able to cast an honest vote??????? :(

 

Christ, what a self-centered, exclusionary, 3rd grade approach towards and limited view of life!! If this is the pig sty level that life has degenerated to, then stop the fucking world, and let me off. :(

I think that it would be a nice idea to tabulate the votes from the Best 5 of Year thread on or around January 1st and then announce, without announcing the voting totals, the Best Five rather than the Escort of the Year. I agree with VaHawk that there are a lot more ways to hurt people's feelings if one were to go ahead with a Singular Best Of thread. And this would also meet your request for a list of people to check out. In fact, it does all ready.

Hooboy originally dropped it because of the gas it caused him. TY took it over the next year figuring he could minimize the homodrama, and if I recall correctly he declined doing another the following year.

 

It was originally meant to be something fun, but some of the denizens around here just can't *allow* fun to exist. Anywhere. ;(

I apologize to KYTop, for these uncalled for comments. What I was thinking and why I posted what I did, I will private to KYTop. But what I will do publicly is apologize to the rest of the mc for posting such a negative, downer response, no explanations offered.

Well of course KY!! I have a recommendation though I'm sure you are in no need of it. :D

 

Top shelf: Booker's -- heaven in a bottle (127 proof smooth as glass; ordered a bottle for christmas ;) )

 

Middle shelf: Old Grandad -- Cloud 9, a classic elegance edging out Wild Turkey on grace and price

 

Bottom shelf: Early Times -- $ for $ can't be beat -- best four years on charred oak at that level.

 

I usally take mine straight up. What's your pleasure? :D

I'm not sure I don't agree with the guys who believe this whole concept is absurd but if we are going to have this thread available I guess I'll put in my two cents worth. I vote for STEVEN KEESSLAR. Just spent a week with him in early November and you couldn't ask for a better companion. He provided great company and great sex. All in all he is just one hell of a great guy.
