Just in case some people don't want to click the link to read the entire article, I think the broader point that should cause some concern for people in the Mahoning Valley area of Ohio:

The prospective client responded to what he thought was a (heterosexual) escort ad but was instead contacting undercover police.  He showed up with burglary tools, yes, which seems odd for someone as wealth as him and was arrested.  It sounds like they already let him plea down to "disorderly conduct," but maybe that's because he's rich.  Who knows how things go for those arrested who have more meager means.  I didn't research the topic further, so I don't know if they just go after potential customers of females or if there is an equivalent program to attempt to arrest people looking to hire males.

I just don't understand this ever! You're a uber wealthy person. How do you not basically just have porn stars lined up for days in your contacts to meet up with for sexual relations. Or have someone who is responsible for setting this up for you. Yeesh. Happens way too often for me to understand with sports stars in particular.

Cell Phone = Burglary Tools?  Cell Phone = Sex Trafficking/Prostitution tools?  If that's the case...I'm in a shit load of trouble from the stuff I do on my phone. 🤣

When I saw this on the news last night....they talked about it being a prostitution type website and then they said he was paying $140 and I thought to myself...isn't this sort of the same as me going to RentMasseur and getting more than a massage for the same if not more money?

It's interesting that the updated article indicates he possessed "criminal tools" (in reference to the cell phone he used to arrange the meeting), not "burglary tools."

The guy is an idiot for a variety of reasons, but I am glad I don't live somewhere where police use their resources to entrap clients looking for escorts.  If they limited that work to those looking for minors I would be in full support, but spending time and resources to go after someone looking to hire someone who can give consent just seems wrong to me.

I always assume they are undercover at some point although I’m bad at assessing thread counts. He was ordered to pay $160 restitution by way of seizure to the entity representing the undercover person. $20 to the pimp infrastructure; seems oddly unbalanced if that’s the ratio. I guess the 69-er package would be more.

I couldn’t agree more! How stupid can you be! Like you said if I was that wealthy, I would have my assistance setting up something like that, using reputable sources.  Just unbelievable! The same thing happened to Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots.

Maybe he figured she would have a strong box and he would have to break in.

Maybe he thought that was where trailer park hookers keep their meth.

There is this billionaire who lives in Montreal in a huge mansion at the top of the mountain that is not even visible on Google street views. He bought another very large house down the hill in Westmount to entertain underage girls by using an intermediary to do the procurement.
He eventually got caught and was prosecuted but his lawyers persuaded the courts he is too old and sick to be locked up.
Billions can get you off, it would appear.
