Why do so many guys look horrible on prep?

Why do so many guys who claim to be negative and on prep look like they are losing a ton of weight in the face and body? Is that a common side effect? Or do most lie online? I know of a few people who lie but everyone who claims to be on prep has a certain look if you know what I mean…….what is going on? Maybe try a condom.

Do you have some examples?

Correlation is not causation.

What you may be observing is guys who also correlate with meth use or a number of other things 

Are you simply looking for a profile that is a little plump and therefore your observation is biased?

Dude, I’ve been on Prep for I can’t remember how long (5+ years) and I wish weight loss was a side effect. If my face has thinned out I don’t see it and no one has commented that I look like I have lost weight. I think @PhileasFogg may be correct when he likens the weight loss you’re observing to use of other drugs or other factors at play that may be causing weight loss.

I don't think that's a common or even possible reaction.

I just googled and 45% of gay men take PrEP, I guess you can find a lot of similarities in their looks.

I’ve been on Prep for years (>8) and haven’t noticed this. It’s not listed as a side effect.

Some of you are funny on here…and sad. Yep sad. Some of you love to put down sex workers because of things they say, do, their photos and the way they look..but when it comes to health, you don’t give a damn. All I will say is good luck and good riddance. If you actually ask to see a test or give them a rapid one…you might be very surprised trust me. 👋🏻👋🏻

I use prep. I used to look fabulous and my life was awesome, but since I stopped using condoms I’ve noticed things change. Losing weight in the face, feeling tired, losing that sparkle. I keep losing my car keys, the elastic in my favourite underwear has gone, my pot plants are dying and last Thursday I broke a finger nail 😕……. But my sex life is fantastic, I never need to fumble around for a condom, or try to open it with oily hands. I can feel it in my hole when guys cum in me and it’s great to have the load dribble out afterwards. Also when I fuck I can feel so much more and guys always appreciate getting bred, especially clients or if I’m filming porn. 
I guess I’m happy with the trade offs, I can eat more, buy new pants…and plants and get my nails done… and keep having raw sex. My decision.

I get it. Some of you confuse prep with other things. You know who you are and I know you are reading this and are mad. If you are mad about health then you are the problem.
