EZEtoGRU Posted Thursday at 11:15 PM Posted Thursday at 11:15 PM I broke down and had a Big Arch Meal at my local Michigan McDonald's today. Tax included, the combo with a medium drink and fries cost $10.80. It certainly is large as it has two Quarter Pounder beef patties, a new special sauce, pickles, shredded lettuce, white cheddar cheese, and both raw onion rings as well as french fried onions (like the kind you put in green bean casserole). It was ok. Nothing to write home about and I wouldn't be compelled to rush out and order it again. In typical McDonald's fashion, the beef patties were overcooked and there was too much shredded lettuce on the burger. The french fried onions were an interesting add but they were over-powered by the raw onion rings that were included. You will definitely have onion breath after eating this burger. My understanding is that this new offering is meant to be temporary unless it becomes wildly popular...in which case it could become a permanent menu addition. I predict it will be available at your local McDonald's on only a temporary basis. How McDonald's Big Arch burger compares to Big Mac + Lucky, + azdr0710, + claym and 1 other 3 1

Wouldn’t entice me to eat it though or at McDonald’s in any event. + Pensant 1
+ Pensant Posted Friday at 01:12 PM Posted Friday at 01:12 PM Seed oils, a bun that would last two months in the pantry and mystery meat patties. No thanks. thomas and marylander1940 2

Nothing unhealthy about seed oils: "Some wellness influencers warn against consuming seed oils, blaming them for a range of health problems and characterizing them as toxic. Whoisyourdaddy Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Based on this thread, I gave the Big Arch a chance and was pleasantly surprised. It was slightly heartier than my usual In-N-Out Double-Double. The prices were also comparable. My only complaint is that the Big Arch made my stomach slightly irritable, which In-N-Out (and Habit Burger & Grill) never does. MikeBiDude 1

I’ll use my cold-pressed EVOO.
+ PhileasFogg Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I gave up fast food when I went gluten/dairy free (out of necessity) a decade ago. Occasionally take the grandkids to McDonald’s or Chik-fil-a but even with them it’s usually sit down, local owned dining. I’m glad to hear that McDonald’s is trying to innovate, but in the end, they’ve rarely offered something new that worked
+ poolboy48220 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Back around 2005 Burger King offered some spectacularly huge sandwich; maybe a breakfast sandwich? I tried it, it was definitely enough to fill me up for the rest of the day.
