+ Gar1eth Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Let's take a vote. "I'm a man who values honesty, trust, and a good heart. I am in active service in the military, I believe in building something real with my partner and growing together over time. Distance doesn't scare me I'm open to long-distance if we're both willing to communicate and get to know each other deeply. I'm looking for commitment, mutual respect, and a healthy, loving relationship."
Danny-Darko Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Hmmm... With the exception of the "active military duty" part, those lines sound very familiar. But you never know. I'd say proceed sloooooowly with caution! marylander1940 1

jeezifonly Posted February 26 Posted February 26 If everything in this quote is 100% sincere on his part, is it what you want? Is he in your area, and if not, how do you feel about distance? Active military - would that potentially throw a wrench into your life if his orders include deployment overseas?
maninsoma Posted February 26 Posted February 26 99.9% sure it's fake, but one way to find out: Respond and find out how quickly he looks for $$$. Whoisyourdaddy and + jimbosf 2

Actually many, many, many of what I'm presuming are fake profiles tell you they are in the military. 52 minutes ago, maninsoma said: 99.9% sure it's fake, but one way to find out: Respond and find out how quickly he looks for $$$. He supposedly lives near Houston. I live about 250 miles away. IMHO both the content and the phrasing stick out as Total Scam. 1 hour ago, Lucky said: Ten to 1 @Gar1eth has no intention of pursuing this person. You are correct, Sir. I don't. I was posting more as a PSA for those, if there are any here on the MC, who aren't as familiar with scammers. Danny-Darko 1

DaddyCares Posted Wednesday at 10:46 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:46 PM I always take that site to be a fake. It's ridiculously outdated. Would the owners even have firewalls up, or any protections?

Would the owners even have firewalls up, or any protections? Possibly it is in your area. I don't know. I was on it years ago and then stopped. I recently re-enrolled when a guy I thought was going to turn into a nice f-bud relationship -or if not that then a platonic friend said he was on it. Dan, the guy, turned out to be a dud-said he was interested. Then pretty much ghosted me. But I've met one guy off of Silver Daddys that I really like. And we've vo-do-de-oh-doughed several times. He's nice to be around outside the bedroom too. So that was a silver lining from the Dan-The-Dud Experience. Edited Thursday at 09:03 PM by Gar1eth
