Providers that only offer therapeutic on rentmasseur.com

A licensed massage therapist I've seen multiple times for a regular massage at a traditional spa has just started advertising on rentmasseur.com. He doesn't list sensual in the types of massage options he's offering. This is a guy I find very, very attractive and with whom I've been dreaming of having a sensual/erotic massage. I would love to explore at least the option of starting with a massage where I'm naked and he's shirtless. 

My question for you guys is, what's your experience like booking therapeutic massages on rentmasseur.com? How are they any different from getting that type of massage at a regular spa or from a masseur that advertises at, say, only on masseurfinder.com? Have you ever crossed the boundaries into sensual/erotic territory?

I wonder if there's a way to suggest this LMT if the option of a sensual massage would on the table, all pun intended. How would you broach the subject with him if you were in my shoes?

I would simply ask if he provides a sensual massage and if so, what that entails. He'll read between the lines, I'm sure.

In person, I’ve asked “what massage modes are you comfortable with?”   And providers have gone through lists of types.  Then after a brief moment, the say “ . . . and sometimes sensual massage."

There ya go. If he's posting shirtless pics, he can't be too upset when you want him that way. Purely therapeutic masseurs would never do that.

@Mark_fl that’s a good point, thanks for offering that perspective! I doublechecked and he’s not advertising on masseurfinder.com. So I wonder if he’s just shy or self-conscious about advertising sensual massages but he’s open to offering them.

 I might as well reach out and ask him, but I don’t think I’ll reveal my identity to him just yet. If he’s not open to it I don’t want to make things awkward between us because I’m still planning to keep booking him for regular massages through the spa where he works.

Wondering if other guys have had any luck moving into sensual/erotic territory with providers that initially only offer therapeutic options and how you managed to move the needle.

My thoughts, for what it's worth...

• he's cute, I'd like to see him shirtless during the massage too 😁
• Several references to "therapeutic" and "professional" in the ad, which makes me think sensual may indeed be off the table
• His ad is only a few days old. He may ease up, so to speak, once he gets a sense of the clients he's getting.
• it's been my experience that guys advertising on rentmasseur are more likely to offer sensual than ones who just advertise on masseurfinder.  I didn't see him at all on Masseurfinder.

Wouldn't it be more awkward if you did that and then later on revealed you were asking without him knowing it was you? I would honestly just text him and say "hey it's x from the spa, I saw your ad online." Even if it is just therapeutic, I'm sure he would appreciate pocketing all the money instead of having the spa take a large amount of it.

I don't need a therapeutic provider to be discrete if I'm just going in to work out a few knots. 

My gaydar is the worst of anyone I know (I'm constantly surprised by revelations) and even I know.

These are great points @poolboy48220 , thanks for offering your POV — maybe I'll just wait out a few weeks and see if he updates his profile. And yes, he's cute as hell — he's now older and beefier and very, very hot.

To be honest, in the first or second massage I received from him, last year, I'm pretty sure he essentially uncovered my butt and brushed my crack slightly. I was kind of surprised. I was expecting it, and for a while I wondered if I'd imagined it. But I've seen him many times afterward and it never happened again. So, I don't know, one part of me thinks he'd be open to a sensual massage, but I'm not entirely sure.

That's what I thought too @BuckCanucked — why would you post a shirtless picture and say you're discreet if you're only offering a traditional therapeutic massage? And why would you only advertise on rentmasseur and not on masseurfinder? 

To be candid, I emailed him through RM a couple days ago saying I'd used his services at the spa in the past and was curious to know more about how the massages he offers through RM are different. I didn't mention who I was. He doesn't seem to have seen my message and he hasn't replied....

Of course it's fine to ask him. He's a hot gay man who touches naked men for a living. He has been hit on hundreds of times at work and is expert at avoiding or encouraging roving hands.  Be friendly and don't make a big deal about it. Simply respect his preference for discretion. Ask in person or call rather than texting.

@la_connor I might be wrong, but I'm not sure if he sees me as a potential client for a sensual massage. I'm very shy and respectful with providers at traditional spas so I've never made any comments or given any signals that may suggest I like him. I feel kind of self-conscious bringing it up in person. Any suggestions on how to get over that?

If paying for bodywork at a nice day spa, part of your fee goes toward all the spa-menities you may or may not use, operational overhead, mgmt, and a legal department. Casual nudity in wet areas may occur, but modesty is the rule, and your assigned masseur will absolutely be fully dressed, and you'll absolutely remain draped on the table and your groin area will not be engaged with in any way. At the spa I've used (Burke Williams), a 90m Swedish/DT combo is $345+tip. The worker gets the tip plus their hourly wage, and possibly access to health insurance. All workers have been educated, licensed by the state, and certified to the facility's standards for health and safety (and liability) But the actual level of talent and the tableside manner are individual. 

As a client, if you don't care about steam/sauna/jacuzzi🦠and definitely want a gay man attending, and are agnostic about draping, you can put more of your dollars directly into his pocket, and get (if you do research) a trained, skilled 90m massage of similar caliber. And it might even take place in your home, or at least closer to it. If you love the mystery of will he/won't he, there is a chance. And you might even save a few bucks.
