Kregger52 Posted Saturday at 08:29 PM Posted Saturday at 08:29 PM Hi all, I've been seeing Masseurs here in LA for many years, and kept notes on the good, the bad, and the ugly. I've never posted my reviews to provide some secrecy but after paying $250 for an absolutely awful therapeutic massage in LA last week I'm done protecting providers. So let me ask y'all: should I post my notes? I've seen so many of them here in LA and by and large I must say the overall quality is just average here. There a few standouts who really understand service but many do not. I'm feeling now that if you suck at your job people have a right to know. Neutronlad9 Posted Saturday at 09:19 PM Posted Saturday at 09:19 PM Post as exhaustive as you could please! Save us some dollars:) + glutes and Exploritor 2
Capitano Posted Saturday at 09:40 PM Posted Saturday at 09:40 PM I say post it while avoiding to War & Peace it. A short (5-8 lines) summary is best, how was the massage, how sensual was it in broad terms, and maybe if you suspect that more is available. That's it.
Exploritor Posted Saturday at 10:59 PM Posted Saturday at 10:59 PM For me, those reviews are exactly why I thought we were all here. Save each other from scams and mediocrity, but also pointing out the unsung gems. Please post it, or send it. I'd definitely read it. Worst case, people skip it. DMonDude and Capitano 2
ChismeDaddy69 Posted Saturday at 11:00 PM Posted Saturday at 11:00 PM Yes please post or PM me please
JayinHKNYC Posted Saturday at 11:26 PM Posted Saturday at 11:26 PM I'm not in LA right now, but yes, everyone is tired of the incessant "bumps" and "what do you think of 'X'?" I've always appreciated how this site was set up to review people, but some sideliners just ask, ask, ask, and never tell anything. + Vegas_Millennial, Monarchy79 and Capitano 2 1
Jax Posted Saturday at 11:35 PM Posted Saturday at 11:35 PM by all means, post! Post the good ones too! (Especially post the good ones!) TIA Capitano 1
Veryshyone Posted Saturday at 11:36 PM Posted Saturday at 11:36 PM Reviews good or not so good are very helpful. Please post and give your fellow friends here a helping hand. SDcompanyman 1

ReynST Posted Sunday at 12:33 AM Posted Sunday at 12:33 AM Definitely! But post the good experiences you've had as well Capitano and + JamesB 2
DMonDude Posted Sunday at 12:35 AM Posted Sunday at 12:35 AM Definitely share. What point is there being on here if not to share those exact types of good and bad experiences so others can make booking decisions accordingly? + JamesB and + glutes 2
LA90046 Posted Sunday at 12:53 AM Posted Sunday at 12:53 AM Perhaps search the forum for any preexisting topics devoted to the providers you have feedback on and add your comments there. DMonDude, + JamesB, Capitano and 2 others 1 3 1
mrkileen Posted Sunday at 03:08 AM Posted Sunday at 03:08 AM Something that has been on my mind alot lately.... I recently hired a guy who has impeccable reviews for over 10 years and I was utterly disappointed. His breath was terrible and he had body odor like he hadn't showered in weeks. He was very unenthusiastic when he arrived. It got me thinking, what if when guys hire and they smell bad or dont have manners, what if thats why they dont have a good experience? When one of the members here mentions they didn't have a good time with a provider, their account can be misleading. Do we ever ask for the providers side of the story? Or we just assume that when someone comments on them that their word is gold and that they tell the whole story. I've hired many times over the last 4 decades and I've heard just about everything there is to hear. I think each experience is unique. I think we should take what one member says with a grain of salt. We will never know all the details and because of one's ego, someone hiring will probably leave out important details. Just because 50 guys had a good experience with someone doesn't mean we all will and vise versa. Just because one of us had a bad experience, doesn't mean the rest of us will. Thoughts?
jmichaeliii Posted Sunday at 03:16 AM Posted Sunday at 03:16 AM Everyone has their own view of what a good experience is. I read many accounts here of experiences that would not appeal to me in any way. Doesn't mean they are wrong..they may not like what I consider to be a good experience. Heck, I have two regulars that kind of worked from what I felt was a script of what they thought a good experience would be. I have been fortunate enough to get them to throw that out and it seems like we are both more relaxed and have more fun. As it always is, to each his own and if you find that provider that matches its a ton of fun!

I tend to read reviews to find repeated patterns. Providers are people too and have off days and sometimes don't connect with clients. If someone has the same (what I would consider to be, because everyone is different) negative feedback from many experiences then I'd probably look elsewhere. I treat it the same as Yelp reviews for a restaurant or a car mechanic or whatever else. No one review is gospel, you have to take an average of many reviews together. Look for things multiple different review all or mostly separately say. If a business has 50 reviews, and 1 person says "service was terrible!", i would assume that customer probably is a Karen and was the troublemaker or that the waiter was probably just having an off day. If the business has 50 reviews and 25 of those reviews all say some semblance of "the food is good but the wait staff could use some improvement", that's a pattern and something that's likely a fairly consistent experience at that business. BaronArtz Posted Sunday at 03:54 PM Posted Sunday at 03:54 PM @kregger52 where are these reviews? Or did I miss something?
Kregger52 Posted Sunday at 10:30 PM Author Posted Sunday at 10:30 PM Hi all Kregger52 here! Thanks for the feedback I will put my notes in order asap. Here are also some thoughts on years of hiring masseurs: Many of the guys who do massage are simply untrained and inexperienced grifters taking advantage of your dollar. They advertise on Masseurfinder and Rentmasseur and seem legit with great reviews. In some cases the only way to find out who these guys are is to experience them yourself. Even reviews on here can be inaccurate. The number of guys currently advertising in LA on Rentmasseur who fall into this category is unfortunately rather large. Buyer beware. Some tips: 1. Porn stars and professional escorts are often terrible masseurs. The worst. I hired a big porn star a couple years ago who was visiting LA and assumed he knew what he was doing. It was the worst massage I'd ever had. Avoid. 2. A surprising number of masseurs are still advertising with old and inaccurate photos of themselves. I just got burned last week by this. Ask if their pics are recent, and how recent. If they seem put off by your question, move on. 3. Certification means nothing. I've had licensed masseurs give terrible massages and unlicensed masseurs give great ones. 4. The younger the masseur, the worse the massage. I've splurged several times on crazy hot guys who where in their early 20s. Awful every time. 5. Avoid any foreign masseurs visiting your city or who recently moved to your city. Yes Russian and Brazilian guys can be hot but they are often the worst of the worst. Ask where they are from and how long they've been doing massage. If their English is bad, avoid at all costs. 6. Never book a masseur who asks you for your pic "for safety reasons" or other reasons. 7. Any masseur who advertises his use of "luxurious essential oils" must be avoided like the plague. Ok stay tuned for my reviews! RJW, Frince, closetotter and 3 others 5 1

+ Nakedchi Posted yesterday at 04:03 AM Posted yesterday at 04:03 AM I don’t think that’s always true. Often guys, like me, are legitimately looking for info on providers who don’t have many reviews on the sites or here. I know that Chicago providers often don’t get the number of reviews as ones from NYC or LA. Frince 1
