It is very popular now for escorts to insist on advance payment.  They do not tell you this until you meet together.  Often, after a long transportation trip to meet the escort. 

Sometimes the escorts insist on money after you are in bed together. 

There must be a happy medium for this relatively new popular stunt played by escorts.

I learned this lesson recently the hard way.  Made an date in advance and paid a significant amount. Thought had a great connection and was ghosted a few days before the meeting. Never again will do advance payment.

That is a lot of driving time, especially if one lives in a large city.

What about others out here who drive or travel a long way only to have the escort change the rules and insist on advance payment?

There is no question that the rules for hiring have changed in favor of the escort, considering the relatively new high hike in prices and the ever-so-common advance payment demand.  

Has anyone reached a "happy Medium" so to speak, with advance payment, together with a long travel trip to the escort?

If an escort changes the rules after we've agreed on something, I'm done.

And if a client changes the rules after they've agreed on something,  I hope the provider is done as well.

Driving distance is irrelevant.

In the larger metropolitan areas, there are too many options to have to tolerate this nonsense. Research is your best friend. On the very rare occasions that I have walked, I felt that I was doing a service for the brotherhood and hopefully modifying future behavior on the part of the provider.

In my experience: any kind of meeting for first time at a bathhouse or “sex shop” is bad business, regardless who’s at fault. Unless you can really trust the person or are experienced with bathhouse setups (I’ve met a client or 2 there before myself, but usually it was THEM who suggested it.)

 

I had a client in Denver talk me into meeting him at a large sex shop with a private theater area. I was smart enough to ask him to meet me out front first before paying to go back there, but I was stupid to have even gone there in the first place because: he never showed himself, and was trying to get me to go in the back in which I would have needed to pay $10 to get in. What the fuck? You booking an escort, it’s not that kind of arrangement. 

I don’t think it was a case of a toxic provider, or you needing therapy. I think y'all were just a bad match and the escort wasn’t fully vetted for your compatibility. In the future: don’t agree to meet anyplace high risk, like a bathhouse, sex shop, car etc. And that police line he pulled was a very weak and lame tactic, him and his friend should have been banned from the establishment for impersonating a Police Officer. I would have reported him to the staff.
