Trying no to drag this out of subject.... Have you seen the new Maigret? Sex (looks) sales! Even the whole crew is not only good looking but in great shape! Did the perps plan their heist after watching How to Steal a Million? Apparently they are supposed to alarm and it is unclear if it did, as security prompted evacuation and therefore at some point knew something was up. It’s unclear as well whether the alarm would be glaringly loud, klaxon-grade, or only signal a breach to monitors in the central security control room. Certainly has the flavour of condom breakage in a cluster fcuk. Edited October 20 by SirBillybob Luv2play and wsc 2

BSR Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Wow, the value of the stolen jewels is estimated at $102 million! Hmm, either the thieves were incredibly lucky, or they knew in advance that the window they were planning to break was not alarmed. I’m guessing the latter. When you think of how much (little) a museum security guard makes, it’s understandable that one of them could be tempted into a “consulting” role for the team who pulled off the job. marylander1940 1
+ Just Chuck Posted October 22 Posted October 22 I saw some jewelry market expert who knew something about the black market being interviewed. He said the jewelry might go into someone’s private collection as-is, but more likely will be disassembled so the individual jewels and precious metals can be sold back in the open market. That’s a really sad thought that the history and craftsmanship that went into those historic national treasures would be lost. Lotus-eater, BSR and marylander1940 3
