Nextstar joined Sinclair in choosing not to broadcast the Jimmy Kimmel Show:

"We made a decision last week to preempt “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” following what ABC referred to as Mr. Kimmel’s “ill-timed and insensitive” comments at a critical time in our national discourse.  We stand by that decision pending assurance that all parties are committed to fostering an environment of respectful, constructive dialogue in the markets we serve. "

Company Will Monitor the Show as it Returns to ABC IRVING, TX (Sept. 23, 2025)—Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXST), today announced that the

Nextstar owns 28 ABC affiliates, including Nashville, New Orleans, and Salt Lake City. Combined with the 38 owned by Sinclair, that's 30% of all ABC owned and operated affiliates that will not be airing the Jimmy Kimmel Show.
If ABC and Disney were bleeding funds on the Kimmel Show before his suspension, the damn has now burst open....
It's just a matter of time.....

The Sinclair Broadcast Group announced Monday that it will not air Jimmy Kimmel's late-night return Tuesday night across its dozens of ABC affiliates until "formal discussions" are held with the network regarding "professionalism and accountability."

Further, Sinclair is calling on Kimmel to apologize to the family of Charlie Kirk.

Sinclair issued a statement hours after ABC parent company Disney announced "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" would return from hiatus Tuesday night. Disney yanked his show last week over comments regarding Charlie Kirk's assassination.

"Sinclair will not lift the suspension of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' on our stations until formal discussions are held with ABC regarding the network's commitment to professionalism and accountability,'

"Sinclair also calls on upon Mr. Kimmel to issue a direct apology to the Kirk family. Furthermore, we ask Mr. Kimmel to make a meaningful personal donation to the Kirk family and Turning Point USA.

"Regardless of ABC's plans for the future of the program, Sinclair intends not to return 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' to our air until we are confident that appropriate steps have been taken to uphold the standards expected of a national broadcast platform."

Sinclair owns 38 ABC affiliates. That's 20% of ABC stations. Kimmel's ratings were already in the toilet. Without Sinclair, it will soon be economically unfeasible for ABC to continue to carry his program. And if Nexstar also decides not to air the Kimmel Show, that will be the nail in the proverbial coffin. Meanwhile, Kimmel will be on a very, very short leash.

Thank you Sinclair for your commitment to professionalism, accountability and upholding moral standards..

When Sinclair gets the consumer blowback, it will fold in the same or similar manner as ABC.

Wrong!
The "blowback" already occurred. That was when Sinclair and Nexstar told ABC/Disney that they heard from their customers, and decided they were no longer going to air that lying, loudmouth crybaby's show. At least not until he accepts responsibility and accountability for his prevarications and mendaciousness, apologizes to the family of Charlie Kirk, and makes a donation to TPUSA.

As a contrast to Kimmel, Sinclair and Nexstar should air reruns of an old show that was REAL entertainment, without vulgarity and lies, and fun for the whole family:

Yes, let's go back to the 1950s.  No to clowns.  When I think of clowns, I always think of the super evil and creepy Pennywise...

Really?
Bozo hasn't seen any evidence of Sinclair or Nexstar backing down from their conditions of reinstating the Kimmel Show.
Care to cite a couple of examples?

The fact that you can't cite one example to support your statement proves Bozo's point.
Thank you.

No. It proves you repeat factually incorrect statements. And when called out, you engage in juvenile name-calling. No surprise that you like Kimmel.

First, you post that when Sinclair gets blowback from its consumers it will fold. Later, you post the beginning of the blowback has already occurred.
Bozo has repeatedly asked you for proof that the blowback has already occurred with examples of Sinclair folding. You can't provide it because it doesn't exist. Sinclair didn't fold. Its consumers didn't give any blowback.

Sinclair, who announced after Jimmy Kimmel's suspension that his slot would be replaced with a special on Charlie Kirk, shifted on those plans.

Actually, he does need them if he wants to continue getting his 17 million dollar paycheck for being a ratings-challenged, no-talent loser.

He’ll make more on alternative platforms. Broadcast tv is dead for key demographics.

Unfortunately for you, the facts say differently.

Broadcast television ratings determine which shows get renewed, which shows get cancelled, which shows get revamped, which stars get promoted, which stars get dumped, which stars get raises, etc.

There aren't a lot of "alternative platforms" out there that will pay him 17 million bucks a year to work an hour a day, get most of the summer off, and be provided with a staff of 200.

 lying

Still waiting for your evidence, any at all, from a credible, unbiased source to substantiate your claim that Jimmy Kimmel lied about anything on his show, given the circumstances and information available at the time. You can repeatedly say he is lying, but that does not make it so.
