samhexum Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Make Shocking Move Back to the U.K. with Kids Archie and Lilibet (Exclusive) THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF SUSSEX ARE MOVING BACK TO BRITAIN WITH THEIR CHILDREN, WHO WILL BEGIN SCHOOL THERE THIS FALL, MARKING THE FAMILY’S BIGGEST DECISION SINCE STEPPING AWAY FROM ROYAL DUTIES SIX YEARS AGO https://apple.news/Ap4619zzFQpykNAVp05xDAw I can quote The Golden Girls for any situation in life.
Luv2play Posted August 19 Author Posted August 19 Wonder where they’ll live. It would be politically wise not to accept a Royal palace as their sale of the California property should enable them to get something pretty nice. There are the security costs however which I suppose will be worked out with the Palace, if they haven’t been already.
+ Jamie21 Posted August 19 Posted August 19 They’ll come back. She will be vilified in the press. She will use that as an excuse to return (with the children) to the US. Harry will remain in the UK. This will continue until the announcement of their separation, and then divorce. The press etc will be blamed. Meghan will get a large settlement. + robear, liubit, MikeBiDude and 4 others 2 1 2 1 1
Luv2play Posted August 19 Author Posted August 19 On the CBC tonight, they reported that Prince Harry and his family are returning to Britain for an extended period but not returning to Royal duties.

I meant that Mrs Simpson wasn’t accepted by the British establishment and Megan doesn’t appear to be as well. They both were American divorcees but not sure that was held against Megan or was it also a factor? Edited August 20 by Luv2play marylander1940 1

Certainly was a problem that Wallis was a divorcee (I think less so that she was American) back in the 30’s. Different times. Nowdays it doesn’t matter: the King (Charles III) is a divorcee and so is the Queen (Camilla). Times change. It’s much more sensible now. I think the problem with Meghan is her attitude to what the role of a Royal is. The template for the role is Princess Anne. Meghan hasn’t a clue how to behave as a Royal. Learned so much, such as Where/who the current line originated from. Names of everyone and their place in the line of succession. What are the royal titles and meaning. What are the Duchy of Cornwall and Duchy of Lancaster. The position of the Duke and Duchess (RIP) of Kent in the Royal family tree. A Catholic cannot serve as monarch. And yes, all the facts surrounding Prince Harry's status. IMO the Duchess of Sussex is "too Californian", not cut out to be a royal. She needs to take a chill pill. Mkay? To be fair, I am not a Meghan expert, so do your own royal research. But my sense is Harry and Meghan fit in better as Southern California personalities. Back to William, one of the first impressions for me was his travel in Poland, how his entourage enjoyed dinner at a gay bistro, during a time when voters in Poland had struck an extreme blow against gay people. That said something. I think Harry is a pussy whipped snowflake. Well meaning, but weak. Meghan? I’m looking for the right word…but it’s not a good one. + FrankR Posted Friday at 12:23 PM Posted Friday at 12:23 PM The men in the current royal line have not aged well. Well…compared to the women. (I feel like such a queen for pointing that out!) 😆 + PhileasFogg, BigDMike and Luv2play 3

But then he is rumoured to have been Queen Elizabeth’s love child. Maybe a fresh injection of strong genes.
samhexum Posted Friday at 10:11 PM Posted Friday at 10:11 PM The former "Suits" star (and the wife of the U.K.'s Prince Harry) is in "advanced discussions" to join the cast of the Netflix series "The Gentlemen," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The part is being written for a potential third season, which hasn't officially been announced yet at the streamer. No details on her role have been released, but THR reports that Markle met series creator Guy Ritchie "through mutual acquaintances." The news comes as Markle and Prince Harry plan to move back to the U.K., where "The Gentlemen" is filmed. (Some reports claim that the role on "The Gentlemen" is a primary reason for the surprise move, calling it "a key part of the puzzle.")
Luv2play Posted Friday at 11:42 PM Author Posted Friday at 11:42 PM (edited) Harry and Sir Elton John and 4 others were ordered by a judge today to pay up some $13 US million in costs for their failed legal case against the Daily Mail. He also said he would not impose a ceiling on what they are ultimately liable for but doubted the $34 million the plaintiffs are asking. Apparently they have insurance of some 16 million against these trial costs. But still, the sums are staggering and some like Harry may be on the hook for more if his co defendants are less able to pay. Edited Friday at 11:45 PM by Luv2play BSR 1
