As with all human endeavors, grace, empathy, and compassion are requisites for true connection.

Lex has shown grace in his responses and frankly I would feel even better about hiring him based on his responses here.

I can empathize with being in a situation without the capacity or ability to proactively follow up on engagements, even with access to my phone, as I have been in that situation myself recently for the first time ever. It happens and if it hasn't happened to you yet, it will. Privacy should be respected without demanding and judging all the granular details.
