Blocking COM Members

Is it possible to block members such that their comments wouldn't appear in topics being viewed by the "blocker" (they would still appear to everyone else)?

Go to your account and scroll down to "Ignored members" where you can enter names of those you don't want to see.

it's an option i have learned to use judiciously - there are some members here who truly do trigger a ptsd response in me - make good choices, as they say!

Just want to say I've never blocked anybody for two reasons: 1) I don't take any of this too seriously 2) blocking may upset context and continuity in a thread if some posts don't show up.

go to the top of THIS screen, click on your name, a drop down menu appears - click on IGNORED MEMBERS, it will take you to another page where you can search the members' name(s) and allow you to "ignore" (block) them

I have none on Ignore coming up to 7 years as of next month. Here’s hoping a dude happened to be named Amos (I vetted thru member search to avoid offense) or a problematic aunt does’t trigger an itch.

If you hover over a members photo/avatar with your mouse, a box will open up and in the lower right hand corner of that box is an 'Ignore' button.  Click on that and it will take you to a page to decide what you specifically wish to ignore from/about that particular member and then finish.  Quick and easy to do.
