He needs money for this, he needs money for that. He claims he has compromising pictures (which is just barely possible--I'm convinced that he or his partner in crime drugged me). I've been just worried enough to give in, but he keeps coming back, despite the advice of my bankers not to. I'm giving in one more time. Then that has to be it.

Partly I'm asking for advice, but mostly I'm warning folks to stay away. He's very charming, and very clever, and very dangerous.

As long as you keep giving, he will keep asking.  Tell him no, that you are blocking his number and that if he contacts you again from another number you will contact the police and file a complaint. Then ignore him. He doesnt want to make waves, he is just taking advantage.

Thanks for the additional bit. I think you're right. FWIW, when I talked to the sheriff's deputy about the situation, he said the same thing. And he was surprisingly chill about it.

In Miami, extortion is a serious felony under Florida law, specifically Florida Statute 836.05. It is classified as a second-degree felony, punishable by up to 15 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Extortion involves maliciously threatening someone with harm to their person, property, or reputation to obtain money, property, or any other advantage.

Although it is psychologically difficult to cut someone off that once was an active attraction, it is clear that the guy will not treat you well in any future meeting.  Therefore, you should block him from your phone and ignore the door if he returns to your place to confront you.

It is clear that he does not value your friendship except for money and valuables that he can scam from you in the future.

Did you not notice his "rentmen" one star review (from a few months back) that told a negative story about him.  Here is the short narrative the reviewer wrote on rentmen's site about his experience with the "escort":

"Santos was unprofessional and completely uninterested. Worst of all, he stole from me during our session. I realized money was missing right after he left, and he ignored my messages. Stay away!"

Unless the so-called "compromising pictures" are of you signing an agreement to pay him money for sex, you have nothing to worry about. If they're sexual in nature, sex isn't a crime. But if you're worried about family, friends, co-workers or such seeing you naked or with a man, for example, you'd just have to deal with it - maybe finally. And that might be seen as a good thing.

Next time he threatens you tell him to do these three things: Fuck off, drop dead, and go to hell. In that order.

I’m in Miami thanks for the warning! I bet he’s transient too - Miami attracts the “let’s make quick cash” criminal types who are here today then off to another city with a different identity. They like to blend in with the “beautiful people” here.

This will settle things quickly!  Let him know you are ready for action!  He will run immediately!!

If the parter in crime has a profile list him too, so we can be aware of him as well.

He doesn't, as far as I've seen.

What a horrible thing to go through. Awful people should not be rewarded for their crimes. Please stop giving the guy money out of fear. It seems to me his career as a "provider" is over. You may be all he has left. He will never be able to hide that face.

Since you already spoke to a deputy, perhaps tell him that law enforcement is now aware of his scheme.  Let him know what sort of fine/incarceration he is looking at for extortion.  And then tell him if he doesn't apologize to you immediately and satisfactorily, you will send all the information you have on him to the authorities.

I wouldn't escalate it with an actual threat, just the statement about already having talked to the police would be enough I think.

That might be wise advice, and I'm not generally confrontational, but in this case I think the punk needs to have the tables flipped on him.

I was in a situation for several years where I was stalked and harassed by a former friend.  My lawyer always urged a very cautious approach.  In hindsight I wish I would have been more aggressive out of the gate.

I would have ChatGPT help you draft a note, including the extortion law, including restraining order law, and perhaps immigration law if applicable (yeah, I went there)  Send it and block him.

I could see why one would be enamored; he looks incredibly sexy.  BUT given the huge 1995 tattoo, having any listed age other than 29-30 indicates he’s not entirely truthful.

Another age shaver???  I am sure BWB will come to his defense.

I can certainly understand the feeling.

I can't know if this provider/scammer is the same person as the person who posts photos on IG as @davidstevenphoto, but there is a lot of useful information you may want to screenshot and save, if so.  Certainly face pics; date when photos were uploaded from Cali, Colombia (and more importantly, inside or outside the US); etc.

It is good that you have contacted law enforcement about his felonious activities -- he will continue to ask for more, like any bully or swindler, until he is pushed back.

Also agree with @Thelatin that immigration may be appropriate.  The most dangerous criminals, including extortionist felons, should be held accountable for their crimes.  ICE maintains an anonymous tipline, and add that piece of law enforcement, as seems plausible from IG.  This I would not tell him (but would do).

Thanks so much! That is indeed the same person.
