Ali Gator Posted March 1 Posted March 1 Up until a year ago, I worked in a university's library for a decade. I worked with plenty of students one-on-one as well as student workers by my side. I gave up on their 'preferred pronouns' as well as their sexual orientation, as it changed day to day with each student. Actually, their sexual orientation could change in one conversation. I remember one cute senior who started a 90 minute shift with me, telling me all about his girlfriend of four years and their break-up the night before. She told him she was attracted to women, never attracted to him (I found this incredible, as the whole student body and myself was attracted to him). 'Okay....let's get back to work', I say with a smile. A half hour later he wanted to talk about the break-up some more, and declared he was gay. Until the break-up 12 hours earlier, he didn't realize how attracted to guys he really is (his words, not mine). He loves everything about the male body. 'Great - let's get back to work', I say. I see he's still 'thinking' and on his social media (no, he didn't do any work for that shift). About ten minutes before he left for the day, he tells me to 'Forget what I said earlier - I'm straight. I thought I was gay, but I'm into girls. Maybe I'm a little gay, but mostly straight.' Great - see you next week. (And for the next few months, until graduation, he kept fluctuating between being straight and gay - said he was definitely not bisexual - but as far as he told me, he never had a gay sexual encounter). pubic_assistance, Archangel, + ApexNomad and 4 others 1 1 5

I mean, the whole reason there is a subset of gays who hit on every man they see without any indication of orientation is that a decent percent of the time(assuming the person doing the propositioning is reasonably attractive), it works. pubic_assistance 1

What I'd love to know, but we'll never get, is a break down of where their line is. Like there's the exhibitionist who will jerk off in front of each other. Then the next level will reach over and lend a hand, then the people who will get sucked but not reciprocate, will suck/get sucked but not fuck. Then the people who will top but not bottom, and then the guys who will bottom but not top because all they are into is the prostate stimulation. I think a lot of these guys almost completely dissociate during sex with a man and see that person almost as a blow-up doll and that's why they resist the bisexual label. Because they're using a personal definition. + Charlie and pubic_assistance 1 1

Because they're using a personal definition. YUP !! I was mostly a "straight" presenting masculine athlete when I was in my 20s and 30s. Didn't hang around the gay scene very much. But also didn't really live "in the closet" as much as I simply didn't like labels....so guys didn't view me as "obviously gay" but also knew I wasn't 100% straight...so it was interesting the number of ( generally ) straight guys who would approach me and ask me about that. Then admit they were always "curious" what it would be like to hook up with a guy but had never done it. If they were attractive to me, I'd say..."well you let me know when you wanna find out ! " 😜 The "experimenting" was a VERY wide range, from jerking off together to one very cute Italian contractor who wanted me to handcuff him and fuck his brains out. Bisexuality in men is definitely a spectrum. + Charlie, + azdr0710, + Vegas_Millennial and 2 others 3 1 1
